All over experience was good. The staff was really helpful Location is good Food and services are available nearby. The bathrooms were okayish and rooms were fine for short stay. If any complaint: it would be the sheets in the rooms. It was not very clean.

Honest Review: I recently stayed at Hotel Mayur in Katra during my visit to Vaishno Devi, and I must say that the service this time around was nothing short of disappointing. While I had an okay experience during my previous stay, this time was a completely different story. Here's a detailed review of my stay that might help you decide whether you want to consider this hotel: 1. **Room Allocation Issues:** Despite it being the off-season in September with available rooms, I was not given a room of my choice. This was the first sign of trouble. But still this can be ignored from my side one can adjust in such situation. 2. **Non-Functional Intercom:** To my surprise, the intercom phone in my room was not working for three days, even after multiple complaints. This lack of response was frustrating. For ordering tea also we had to go to basement which was irritating. 3. **Maintenance Problems:** The issues didn't stop there. Soap dispensers in the washroom were not working, and even the commode jet had problems. I had to repeatedly request for paper rolls and soaps which was given once in 3 days, which should have been provided without asking. 4. **Safety Concerns:** The presence of numerous naked nails on the floor was a safety hazard, especially with my 1.5-year-old son around. It's not practical to expect a toddler to wear shoes at all times inside the room. 5. **Food Service Delays:** Since I was staying for three days with a toddler, I requested the hotel to prepare food for him almost ready to eat one. Initially, they denied my request, but later agreed. However, when I provided all the necessary ingredients all in powered form (just required boiling) , they still took an unreasonable amount of time to prepare a simple meal, causing my hungry son to cry. Even when I requested he has fever can you prepare food urgently so that i can give him medicine after food still with with no curtsy they said Madam 20 minutes to lagega hi, more courteous approach would have been appreciated with little empathy. 6. **Hygiene Concerns:** The dishes provided had a strong detergent smell (cloth detergent not the dish cleaning one) , indicating they were not properly washed. When I wiped a plate with a tissue, it came away covered in dirt, raising serious hygiene concerns. 7. **Inadequate Cleaning:** I observed the staff merely rinsing glasses with water as a formality, without using any dish soap or proper cleaning methods. This was a clear indication of their disregard for cleanliness. 8. **Delayed Bin Cleaning:** It took multiple requests to have the dustbins cleaned and replaced with new bags. This should have been part of their regular housekeeping routine. Due to which my room was stinking as the bins were full with baby diapers. *Hygiene issue* : They keep drinking water bottles stock in the garbages collection room, pathetic feeling i had. *No courtesy*: Staff is not at all courteous and no greeting attitude. The PG's are more courteous these days. *Output*: I am suffering from Food poisoning, my son is having fever and he had vomiting, my father in law vomited a day before we got it. In conclusion, I regret to say that I would never recommend Hotel Mayur & Restaurant to anyone. The compromised service quality, hygiene issues, and overall lack of responsiveness made this stay a disappointing and frustrating experience, especially considering the amount of money spent.

It was a nice stay... Rooms were spacious , clean bathrooms and Hot water available throughout the day.. overall a nice experience best part is the Location it is in the main bazar and Everything from here is accessible quite easily.

The rooms are quite good as per the price. The behavior and service of the staff is good. The hotel is at a distance of 200 meters from Katra bus stop. Market restaurants, cab facilities are also easily available near the hotel.

Highly recommended place to visit. Everything was perfectly fine, we were not expecting anything from this place but their services and room with a great view left us mesmerized.

Room was clean n big in size, service was good but but but I got only two option in breakfast first day stuff paratha n sandwich and 2nd day maida poori with allu sabzi n sandwich. ... Plz increase some options or take order n cook it

Location - Excellent, very near to bus stand and yatra parchi counter.Cleanliness - no issues, neat and clean.View - had a great mountain view. didn't had balcony room but still had a great big window to enjoy the view.Food - food was good, reasonably priced and room service was also available.Staff behaviour - decent no issues.Conclusion - if you are coming to katra then look no further.. This is one of best hotels out there.. It's good, slightly less expensive and location wise better.
