My favourite place in town. My girlfriend and I use to frequently visit this cafe! Lots of memories and the food is awesome. Now that my girl moved on to another guy. I still visit this place to keep those memories alive. Great location and ambience and parking is not an issue.

The place has a clothing store, gift shop and a cafe. They have valet parking facility. The store is located in an old building but in a nice condition and decorated with nice line drawings. The store has nice designer clothes. While my sister was busy in the clothing store, I just browsed the men's section. The clothes were nice but expensive. I am a novice with regard to designer clothes. In the gift shop, they had some antique furniture which they integrated into their displays. We had lunch at the cafe. It was busy. The menu is mostly western but tasty. The waiters are attentive and promptly attend to the guests. Overall a nice place for shopping and eating.

Its too too too pricy. Seems like,only the elite people could afford it. Could accept that block prints are bit pricy though this is very high. The quality is super good,no compromise on that. But online prices for block prints and fabrics seems soo less as compared here. Minimum price of a short top is 1950/-. Could suggest many other online options than putting into this. Other than that, Place is not crowdy (who will come for such a high price). It is in Alwarpet. They also have wooden blocks for sale which costs around 250(the only cheap one) where we can customise our own at home with DIY. Just visit it for experiencing the quality block print fabrics.

Anokhi has stunning ambience. Serene, quiet, peaceful with ample support for working freelancers and creatives who would without doubt enjoy hanging out all day either with friends or working solo. The ambience is incredible for a date with your loved one if a quiet but upscale and pleasant place where you're not disturbed is what you prefer. The Quesadilla formaggi and the panneer sandwich were great! Again, you may wonder if the price justifies the food by itself -The answer is not really. You're paying a premium for decent continental food with a good menu spread for the time and experience of the Serene, open and calming ambience. Expect to spend 500rs a person if you're looking to spend 2 to 3 hours with a close group with food to give company. This is not your type of place if you're looking for a productive solo meal ....

They barely have stock of sizes and the staff is disinterested in showing products! Meanwhile when I billed right away and wanted to exchange it instantly, they refused because the payment was done! Terrible service!!!

I mean this place was real good years ago, but a steady decline in service and quality has really brought it down in the dumps. The wait staff were never great to begin with, but they've only gotten worse. Also Anokhi is too good to have regular ketchup. That's just ridiculous. Who doesn't have ketchup? I mean it's ketchup. It's the global condiment. Go to Les Amis next door instead. Great atmosphere, the service is impeccable and the ketchup flows from the heavens like god's nectar. Cheers. EDIT: A couple of years later, not much has changed. Overall quality of food is average compared to other cafes in Chennai. The good thing is Les Amis is also equally mediocre now, so Anokhi is probably the lesser of two evils if you're in the area and have to pick. Their in-house ketchup is a little better. If you like to have mediocre cold coffee after blowing a lot of money on overpriced linen clothing, then this is the number two spot in all of Chennai for you. Number 1 would be Amethyst. Sarcasm aside, their chocolate cake is really good and the only reason worth coming here. So if you do find yourself here, get a corner slice of the cake and enjoy it slowly as you wonder why Coromandel cafe in Pondicherry is just so much better than this place when they are run by the same people.

A very convenient cafe which serves lots of dishes. The cauliflower steak is very delicious. The black coffee was a bit powdery. Spent a fruitful evening here.
