Urbban Castle Homestay - Home Stay in Port Blair - South Andamans, India

We had shortlist a few hotels at Port Blair before our trip to Andaman. We chose Urbban Castle as it was affordable as well as had all the amenities we needed. The people here are very warm and welcoming. The entire time we were here, it felt like home! The owner of the place greets every guest personally. The stay is located near the main market and is at a walkable distance from the cellular jail. Amenities are plenty. The stay is clean, has sufficient wifi, has availability of warm water at all hours and is safe for solo travellers. Everyone we met here was good to us. People go out of their way to help you so be assured all of your concerns will be catered to!

I Stayed with family for 7 nights.. the stay is very good and the staffs were very polite and respectful. I felt it was a perfect home stay... The property was located near to the market, so it was very easy to buy the daily needs.

Good for the price. Very friendly staff, but needs training. For example, it took a long time to fit the stove. In the breakfast, the tissue paper was soaked in Sambar. Location is good. The quality of mattress is poor. Provides gas and stove for 250 INR per night. The thing I did not like is that the water from corridor cleaning falls directly on a school ground that is located below service apartments. The school has small kids, and slippery floors are dangerous for them. Apartment owner should take care of it.

Great place for the family. It feels like home with a good living room space for my son to play and spend time. I accidentally stumbled on this place when I went looking for a hotel room when the original hotel room that I had booked online turned out to be very unsuitable for the family. Among the fifteen hotels I checked in this price range and area I found this to be the best one. To top it there are very friendly and helpful hosts and have made my family vacation happy and .memorable.

Positive: The hotel room as well as the staff was very good and supportive. Everything was very good. The room had a balcony and small kitchen as well. The best thing is that the hotel is situated in the center of the city. Major visiting places are near to the hotel.. Negative: The only thing in cons that they provided bill without GST number. Also, no restaurant in the hotel..

I visited this place with my mother and sister and we had a good time here. I would certainly book this place again and would recommend it. Pros: It is located centrally, close to the Aberdeen market and jetty. The apartment was clean and the check in and check out was easy and hassle free. The complimentary breakfast is served on time and in the room. We had delicious idlis here. We wanted an extra mattress in room and we were accommodated for an extra price. Th owner gave accurate directions regarding visits to Neil island and arranged tickets for Ross island Cons: They don't refill water bottles. One and a half liters of bottle water is provided every day. Some facility to refill water bottles would be both convenient and environment friendly. The mattress was very hard. The bathroom lights are not connected to power back up. The wi-fi only works late at night and very early in the morning but wifi is an issue all over Andaman.
