Tower Hotel - Hotel in Nainital - Kumaon, India

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. We booked their lakeside view room and it had an amazingly beautiful view of the Naini Lake. A complete dream room. The room service was good. The location of the hotel is fantastic. So is the vibe and feel of this place. Rooms are very small.

Title: Extremely Disappointed: A Dreadful Experience at Lakeside Inn, Nainital Review: Me and my friends recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Lakeside Inn, Nainital, and we must say that it was an incredibly disappointing and frustrating stay. From the moment we checked in until the day we left, we encountered numerous issues that made our stay far from pleasant. We booked 3 rooms, 2 Oak and 1 Mapple. Firstly, the state of the rooms was simply appalling. The cleanliness was subpar, with visible dirt and grime on the floors and furniture. It was evident that the rooms are not maintained with a clean and hygienic environment for guests. This negligence seriously affected our comfort and overall impression of the hotel. To make matters worse, we had to deal with a persistent water leakage issue in the bathroom as it was raining. The constant dripping from the ceiling was not only a nuisance but also raised concerns about potential safety hazards. It was unacceptable that such a basic maintenance issue was not promptly addressed. Furthermore, the intercom system for room service was out of order, which severely impacted our ability to request assistance or make simple inquiries. It was frustrating to have to rely on other means of communication, such as going down to the front desk or using our personal mobile phones, just to get basic services. One of the most infuriating aspects of our stay was the blatant prioritisation of the hotel's ground floor cafe over the needs of the guests. It was astonishing to witness the staff catering to the cafe's customers while neglecting the guests staying in the rooms. We experienced this firsthand when we attempted to order a beverage during the cafe's active hours, only to be denied. Strangely enough, after the cafe closed, the same beverage was suddenly made available. This inconsistent and unfair treatment left us feeling undervalued and disrespected. Adding insult to injury, we were informed by the hotel staff that drinking in the common areas was not allowed. However, it was frustrating to observe other guests openly enjoying drinks in these areas late at night. This double standard displayed by the hotel staff was not only unjust but also highlighted the lack of consistency in enforcing their own rules. Furthermore, despite being promised a table at the prestigious cafe for dinner, we were denied one. This false assurance was both disappointing and misleading, especially considering our eagerness to experience what was advertised as a notable dining option within the hotel. The unfulfilled promise further exemplified the hotel's lack of commitment to guest satisfaction. In fairness, I must mention a few positive aspects of our stay. The view from the hotel was indeed impressive, offering captivating sights. The location of the hotel was also convenient and easily accessible, which made it convenient for exploring the surrounding area. The designing and the aesthetics of the hotel was pleasant that will help you in getting a loads of good pictures. However, these positive elements were overshadowed by the multitude of issues and disappointments we encountered. Overall, I cannot recommend Lakeside Inn based on my experience. The dirty rooms, bathroom water leakage, dysfunctional intercom system, and the hotel's disregard for guest needs in favor of their cafe were significant letdowns. The inconsistency in enforcing rules and unfulfilled promises only added to the disappointment. While the view and location were commendable, they simply could not compensate for the myriad of issues we faced. I strongly advise potential guests to consider alternative accommodations that prioritize guest comfort and satisfaction.

Worst Hotel rooms. First of all, room was very small but that is not the issue. The amenities of the room are bad. No cleanliness. Bathrooms were not clean at all. Broken lights (check the photos) We were charged 6500 for one room for one night. This wasn't worth it at all. The only good thing about this hotel was the location and its restaurant

The only selling point for the hotel is their location. The rooms were the smallest of all the hotels i have ever stayed in. The room didn't even have a mirror and we did have any space to keep our luggage and stuff. Beds are small, hardly accumulated 2 people. Also the mattress they have in these beds are spring kind of mattres which are not comfortable to sleep. The bathroom as well was tiny. Room service is not at all up to the mark. Laundry wasn't available. The bedsheets were not clean and even after asking the staff, they were adamant that it is clean. Next day when we asked for a fresh towel, they gave us a dirty towel which had all kibd of dirt and bits in it. The only good thing about the hotel is their location. This is small and conjusted property. We have 3-4 days stay and then too we had no preference in their restaurant. Usually all good hotels give preference to their inhouse guests and same is in nainitals' other hotels but here they don't value their customers. The management doesn't care and we got to know that other guest's have had similiar issues in the recent past and reported it but it is not addressed. Hotel alka or other hotels on mall road would be a better option to stay. You can come to lake side cafe like all other people since it wont matter if you're staying in or not. For the money they charge, it was a big disappointment for us

Hotel was neat and clean. Room was a bit small but manageable (we were already aware of room size). Hotel only has 16 rooms. Hence mostly it's fully booked throughout the week including off-seasons. Their restaurant serves good quality and tasty food. You can enjoy good view while having food from the restaurant. They charged me for an extra bedding for my kid (should have given it complimentary). The breakfast (two cups of tea and bread toast) ordered at 7am was delivered at 7:45. They should have told while taking the order that they don't generally serve before 8am. We could have left early and had breakfast on the way. Another thing, toilet seat cover in room 102 needs repairing. hot water was available anytime.

Hotel location is very good, with some breathtaking view from common balcony. Restuarant is very classy, serves alcohol and has stunning view of lake. But, food/drinks are expansive and sevices are slow. Good part was you can go and come back from mall road anytime you want. Rooms are very small, specially on the back side that you cant even move around, feels suffocating. There were too many cockroaches on bed, washroom, kettle and towel, that it became nightmare to sleep even for one night there, even after getting the room cleaned /sanitized. Our room was changed to 2nd floor later on multiple such complaints, which was better. But, there were noises from other rooms/commin area till late night. Towels were dirty. There was no partition between shower and toilet area, as a result wasroom was all wet after showers and you have to call service staff to wipe the floor. Hotel staff was courteous, but manager on reception was very cold in his behavior. Owner was also around, but didnt interact with any guests etc, which could have been nice way of making guests feel at home.

Pros: Great location Good food and drinks Cons: Extremely bad rooms. Very small and dirty. If someone is looking for a nice place to stay, this is just not it. And it is priced very high if you book online. The images of the rooms are taken in a way to manipulate the viewers. Lake side rooms cost way too high up to 8K. Bathrooms: We never know when the hot water stops when you take bath. On the other hand, wash basins water is good. We get hot water instantly.

Worst experience in terms of hygiene.... pathetic pathetic condition of room. Not at all suitable for anyone who wants even basics of cleanliness. From all upholstery to furniture and floor of the room was very very dirty. Don't ask about washroom...it was even bad than a local public washroom. Would not suggest this to anyone, please dont waste your money and play with your health . No doubt the staff was cooperative but wjat to do when the environment around is filthy. No words to describe the bad hygiene.
