HOTEL MAHARAJA - Hotel in Nainital - Kumaon, India

It's inside one of the lanes near Lake but they arrange for parking which is the best thing in place like Nainital where parking is a major problem. We booked here last minute and everything was good. Only one manager is really helpful here and the rest are lazy. Our room had two washrooms and in the morning we had to call them again and again for towels and soaps but it didn't come even till we checked out. They have a pick and drop facility also from Mall road and food was tasty.

Staff is very kind and helpful. Good service. Room and hotel was very neat and clean. Lake view is also from the rooms. Location is also good. Worth it according to price. Food is very very tasty.

Big menu, nothing available. No hot water in evening. Poor room service. Staff is not friendly. Won't even Give any utensils if order from outside knowing they don't have guest food in menu. Please look for choices.

Location of the hotel is picture perfect with Nainital lake view from the rooms. Hotel arranges pick up facility from Mall Road. Staffs are very kind and helpful. Good room service. Rooms are very congested and cold. Hot water is provided from 7 am to 3 pm. In the evening only cold water is available which is claimed as lukewarm water by the hotel authority. Thus room rent is costlier than other similar hotels where larger rooms and 24 hours hot water are available in same price. Foods are delicious, but quite expensive in comparison with other similar restaurants. Even one piece of fried papad costs Rs50/- and a piece of thin aloo paratha costs Rs80/-. I felt that the overall value for money was poor.

Front view rooms are very good and the entire Naini lake can be seen. Go for the Super Deluxe. The hotel manager , staff and Chandu were amazing people

I have booked a double room. Unfortunately the stay was not worth the price. I will never recommend this property to anyone for this price. The room was very small and old fashioned and even not maintained well.Pros:1. Location is good. Walkable distance from mall road as they mentioned. (Little bit difficult for new drivers as the road is narrow and upwards)2. Parking is available.3. Food was good and food delivery was also fast enough.Cons:1. Room was very very small, old fashioned, not pleasant also.2. Room was not cleaned well. Dust, old broken remotes, empty snacks covers etc were present here and there.3. Bathroom was clean enough, But hot water was available only for a particular time interval. (Hot water was not available in night also)4. No space for keeping luggage (No luggage Rack). Not enough space for having food also.5. Proper curtains were also not provided. Very thin transparent type curtains were provided for the window towards corridor.6. No health faucet (Hand shower) in toilet.7. Restaurant was average.OVERALL THIS PROPERTY IS NOT WORTH FOR SUCH A SMALL OLD FASHIONED ROOM WITHOUT 24 HOUR HOT WATER AVAILABILITY.

In hills even 200 mtrs is very far. Hotel arrange pick up and drop facility from mall road turn to hotel.. If u plan to stay near naini lake don't even think about this hotel.. its very far from lake, no cleanliness , very congested room.. not worthy.. only one thing i like, it is near to zoo.

behaviour of hotel staff is very polite. the hotel is at the top from the mall road, so they provided shuttle from mall road to hotel till 9pm. food is also very good. they have own parking space, so don't need to worry about that.
