Hotel Welcome Park - Hotel in Nainital - Kumaon, India

A wonderfully decent hotel located at a very short walk from the Mall road on the Zoo road. The rooms are good and spacious unlike many other properties at Nainital. Absolute privacy is ensured, except for some residential brats who were indulging in avoidable pranks late at night by ringing calling bells of neighbouring rooms. Beautiful view of the lake adds to the positivity at the hotel. There is a restaurant too at the hotel which serves good hot food, multi cuisine, though a bit expensive. Expect around 30 minutes serving time because food is prepared to order. Housekeeping needs to improve without doubt, especially the cleanliness aspects and upkeep of the bathroom. Hot water is available from around 0730 hrs till about 1600 hrs. Occupants need to adjust their routine accordingly, though that's not much of a struggle in months other than peak winters. What's best is that the hotel provides a pick up cab on call, from the Mall road diversion point, so that one can avoid the walk of approx 500 mtrs which is a steep climb. Staff are polite though a few of them came across as totally amateurish and a little hesitant to be proactive. Notwithstanding, the stay was memorable and the hotel is highly recommended for families and couples.

Though we checked the rooms and view before booking but it wasn't until we got stuck in the hotel that we got to know the reality. We were charged 4.5k per night but this was a really bad exp for us. They didn't have hot water supply in the room. Then they didnt have any room slippers or dental kit even if we were ready to pay for it. We ordered tea and they didn't have milk in the hotel. I ordered food and the chicken they served was stale and i couldn't eat. We checked out right away in the morning but we wasted our day 1 staying here. If you are looking for just any place to stay in less money then you can stay here but never eat or go there with any expectation. Take your own toiletries and things you might need in the room. Very disappointed

Pathetic experience. Never stay here. Food is below average. Staff is rude. Owner is not cooperative. Very overpriced, there are two ladies who are very rude and manner less There is paranormal activity. We booked 205 hotel room when we entered we didn't get positive vibes later on we had dinner , cheat chats and all we were supposed to sleep suddenly I went to washroom for cleaning my face and brushing the teeth so I felt that someone was watching me then I returned back and tried to sleep around 1.30pm at night I felt that someone hold me and thrown me off on my bed and I was shivering then again I tried to sleep somehow because we were tired. Around midnight 2.30am I heard nail scratches sound and my hotel room curtain was blown I was scared I didn't even no idea what should be done then I settled myself and again going to sleep then 3.30 midnight my hotel room's tv got turned on with high volume then we called hotel staff they came and checked but they were too sleepy so they didn't give us solution. My husband ran away to turned on all the lights and I saw one shadow on that time when my husband went.

Very disappointed with the services of the Housekeeping, Front Office and the owner/management. No proactiveness in terms of room cleaning. At the time of check-in, we had to ask for change of linen. They were all soiled. There was so much of dust in the that had to be mopped out. No one showed the courtesy to change the linen or clean the room next day. Yesterday, called up at least five times for a mere tea bag but to no avail. Front office and Housekeeping both were aware about this demand. Upon narrating our ordeal about the stay at the property, no one showed any empathy at the time of check out, neither the staff nor the owners. WiFi, that is a component of the stay, doesn't work. For our stay, for three days and two nights, we had been continuously struggling to get the connection right. Overall a dissatisfied experience.

Overall experience is not good. The ambiance was good but the services were the worst. It's 500 meters from Mall road and it's straight climbing that you will exhaust also very expensive you can get much better option in this price. Owner is sardar ji but very rude will never recommend to stay this hotel.

Overall great experience. Hospitality was good. Mahinder ji was so cooperative. Rooms were super clear and beautiful. View from the balcony was wonderful. Highly recommended. Must visit

The service of the Welcome Park was really amazing. Staff was very polite especially Mahendra ji from Reception. The rooms were very good and the view from balcony was really awesome.

Owner is pathetic, staff is good, location is good, food is okay. Owner cribs for little things like kids drinking water from glass, horrible hospitality. Driver cleaning the car was stopped by owner, god knows why he opened a hotel if he doesn't understand hospitality. While checkking in owner was asking about other guests are they with us?? How funny that can be, as if he was trying to prepare some lecture about why more than 2 people not allowed in the room, unfortunately he was sad when he learnt my family was not with them. Avoid this hotel if you want peace of mind.
