happy home is a very nice budgeted hotel if you are looking at lake side for a naini lake view ,its one of the best hotel you will find. amenities and hot water 24/7 you will get. room is bit small but same room sizes are more expensive in some other hotels in same line but best thing its proper ventilated.
As a couple,i will recommend their deluxe room with lake view coz you can sit in your lobby and enjoy the natures beauty. food wise its also good. service & behaviour of staff is very good. they are very helpful throughout our stay.
This is the first time I went out after my wedding. I felt like I had booked a one star hotel. This hotel doesn't have a lift and you have to step up around 54 steps to go to reception. Please consider this before booking this hotel. Mediocre ambiance of the room. In Peak time, they charge almost double comparing to off season charges. Overall, I will not recommend this hotel. The room was very small with one old model TV. The bathroom was too small as compared to the Deluxe room. The pathetic internet connection of the mobile network and low wiki bandwidth spoil my stay. I was unable to make any call from inside the room. The internet was working intermittently.
I had a pleasant stay for 3 days at this hotel. Naini lake can be seen from the hotel's balcony and rooms are decent. The only problem is the stairs which are way too much and sometimes feel like a trek after you're tired. Also the food is something I greatly cherish till date. For that this place is a must visit.
Staff is very cooperative. Lake facing rooms are good. Queen size bed is provided as the room size is small, but that is true for most hotels at mall road in Nainital.
Breakfast is not available, but tea can be ordered on a paid basis and tasted really good.
Too costly compare to small room without ventilation. Don't go by any picture. Too much of furnished wooden furniture has made the rooms small, congested and smelly room. You have to climb approx 200 stairs. Service guys are greedy of tips and demand for every work not even when you will leave the hotel but when you are entering then also. Network is poor. Then don' prepare non veg items even it is in their menu. They will bring it from nearby restaurants. Veg food is also costly and not upto mark. Overall this is a commercial hotel no hospitality you can expect.
The hotel was nice. Staff was very courteous. Mr. Kapil & Mr. Keshar are very humble. They even allowed us to check out late even though they had guests waiting. Kudos to them. Room service is lightning fast. Only a few downsides
1. You have to climb hell lot of stairs. Be ready to blow your heart out.
2. The hotel is in dilapidated condition.
3. Seepage in rooms & washrooms.
4. Old style building.
5. They will soon be closing for renovation purposes so book accordingly.
6. The family deluxe room was bad in shape. It was titlting forward. The washroom was tilting towards back. It will take you sometime to get used to it.
Rest everything was fine.
The Location is so good and it is ideal only for couple or young ages people as there is almost 40-50 stairs to reach the hotel room, However hotel staff are cooperative here and will carry your luggage.
But the rooms are very small and are just enough to lying one small bed in it. They are not too much spacious. But the good thing is that view from room windows is just amazing (If you opt for lake view rooms). I have attached some pics from the hotel rooms
Also, other room accessories are not standard like heater. Even they do not provide kettle in all the rooms. If anybody need hot water, they have to call the reception and which is available only in day hours. Additionally, kettle was also not properly washed.
Food Quality is very good and did not disappointed us in whatever we had ordered. But do not expect too much here if you're concern about hygiene food.
Parking facility is not available and you have to park your vehicle in Nainital Parking space which is almost 1.5 kms away from the Hotel.
One last thing, if you're planning to visit Nainital in off-season then book hotel directly after reaching here instead of booking online.
