If you are looking for lip smacking Asomiya food then this is the place to be. Great hospitality by Ruby ba and team! Authentic Assamese food. Highly recommended.
-Small Area and the interior are plain and dull.
-Sitting for Max 4.
-Food waiting time is approx 10 to 15 Minutes.
-Price: Average between 200 to 500 for most of the dishes.
-Taste: Below Average.
Take Away: Better to ignore this restaurant.
Oh! Assam serves delectable dishes that tantalize the taste buds. Mouthwatering dishes that never disappoint. Had a flavorful experience.
A very nice small resturant for those who love Assamese food. They serve basic assamese thali and other non veg and beg preparation. Good for food lover and specially people from Assam who look for assamese food in Delhi. The owner is very friendly and make you feel like home. You can have nice meal in budget and they serve all thalis and al a carte s as per menu. Good for both small family and friends to have lunch dinner here..
Food quality is good here. I ordered 1 duck thali here. The thali was tasty. But they prepared duck curry in boil style, which is most probably not a proper traditional Assamese style.
Price is little bit high as compared to some other Assamese restaurant situated in Delhi. Most importantly they charged extra price for anything you ordered latter. For example if you need extra rice then you have to pay additional 60 rupees (I haven't seen this concept(charging extra for extra rice/dal in a thali) in other Assamese restaurants present in Delhi including Canboe (Dilli haat, INA) and Maihang (Assam house, Delhi).
Superb and delicious food. Humble, warm and great hosts. A must try for great Assamese food in Delhi. 5 stars for cleanliness and hygiene.
* 1st of all the place to find was quite challenging, and when we found out, the expectations were not as hyped by the google.
* The ambience was decent but not much place to sit.
* Thought that whatever the choices made my the owner doesn't matter, but what matters is food, however when the food arrived, it was appealing but not as shown in the pictures of the various people which showed various side dishes along with the thali, but, the taste was Good (not extraordinary), and Homely cooked..
* The price should have been seriously lower than what they offer for, rest is OK.
Came to Delhi for a trip and was craving for the home style Dali-Vaat. Searched for Assamese restaurants in Delhi and found this one. Travelled almost 15 kms in metro, walked for around 2 kms and somehow managed to find this awesome restaurant. Didn't felt like I was away from home while eating. The food was top notch and the behaviour of the whole team was very polite. Also spoke to someone in Assamese after 6 days and it really feels great. *Pro tip: If you want to pay online make sure you don't have an airtel sim card because the internet sucks inside the restaurant. Overall it was worth all of it and had a great time there. Kudos to the team.
