Leh Cafe - Featured Reviews (189)
The Leh Cafe has an eye-catching property at the entrance to the Main Market, with a generally trendy crowd. I'd in mind to check out this eatery, in the winter of 2021, but they were in the process of shutting down and had little by way of choice. This time around I was more determined. Despite the somewhat pricey menu (for backpackers), think of USD 4 for a Leh Cafe Set Breakfast, and nearly USD 5 for an English Breakfast, I entered the cafe's ground floor, a nice and cosy place with huge glass windows facing the street. It's a fine place for watching the crowds in the Main Market, an always interesting pastime. Since the ground floor was packed, I decided to check out the first floor premises with its beautiful big windows in blue frames. There's a narrow balcony running outside for smokers, which directly overlooks the market on one side and the busy Zangsti Road on the other.
The first-floor premises with attractive wooden garden tables and cushioned chairs, had a noisy group, so not my cup of tea. Still, I ordered a cappuccino and a slice of apple crumble I'd espied in the cake counter. The cappuccino was run of the mill, and I'd to send it back to be heated. The apple crumble, was unfortunately the last piece in the cake counter and had probably been there for days. It both smelled and tasted stale. The Leh Cafe is not a place I'd recommend to solo travellers and backpackers. The nearby My Cafe and De Coffee Cave are quieter, with much better coffee and ambience.
Amazing flace to have coffee, lemon tea and cake. The taste of the cake was just out of the blue never had such amazing carrott cake in my life. And the guy running this cafe is very good he suggests things to have according to our taste. You must visit this place and try their different items and i bet you all wont regret it.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Leh Cafe, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The milk cake they serve is an absolute treat for the taste buds - it's rich, creamy, and simply melts in your mouth. But what truly sets Leh Cafe apart is the warm hospitality you receive.
Saira Aunty, the super host, makes you feel like you're visiting a friend's home. Her welcoming smile and genuine care for her customers create an inviting atmosphere that's hard to find elsewhere. It's heartwarming to see the first cafe in Leh embracing its visitors with such warmth.
The cafe itself is a great place to relax and soak in the local vibes. Whether you're sipping on a hot cup of chai or indulging in their delectable milk cake, you'll find yourself in a cozy corner of Leh, surrounded by friendly faces and the serenity of the Himalayas.
Leh Cafe is not just a place for delicious treats; it's an embodiment of the spirit of Leh - warm, inviting, and unforgettable. :)
A 3 pointer. Tried British breakfast. Service was okay as we were not sure of the quantity that's being offered for each plate. Atmosphere was great. Right in the middle of Leh market. Taste was okay. Rates are high as well.
Located entrance of Leh market. Good cafe... Around this area, we drunk capachino, and Chai during our visit.
The cafe to visit on the square which is literally the first shop you will see bang on the entrance. Variety of bakery items, beverages present and also softie ice-cream. Staff is polite and courteous. There is quite a crowd here in the morning so I just came back in evening. I just wish they had a small restroom in here and this would be the complete package.
Edit: My bad as I didn't know about the washroom. Changing review to 5 star.
Good breakfast and coffee, free WiFi you can ask for the password at the counter
