it is a lovely property bang in the middle of white town. Staff is very helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. Special mention for Sita. she is very sweet and courteous.
Rooms are spacious and clean though we found a few cockroaches and one lizard. Informed the staff, hopefully they will take care of this.
We tried the french tasting menu. it was superlative. must try
Breakfast can get repetitive if you staying for a few days. but it was very fresh and tasty.
Overall a lovely stay.
Un hotel dont la brochure attire avec la photo d'une belle piscine. Mais le bassin est vide! La decoration a peut etre ete soignee a une certaine epoque mais actuellement cela commmence a etre vetuste avec une salle de petit dejeuner pour ainsi dire inexistante mais triste si on ne desire pas manger dans le jardin qui parait plus joli a l'eclairage du soir!
Le petit dejeuner n'est ni mauvais ni bon .
Par contre le personnel est agreable et la proprete est au rendez vous.
Un hotel 3 etoiles pour moi voir 4 pour l'Inde si on n'est pas exigeant

This is a beautifully restored heritage property in the White Town at Pondicherry. The rooms are tastefully designed and very comfortable. It will especially appeal to those who like clean and minimal design with respect to the heritage of the property.
The food in the property is also excellent and the 7 course tasting menu is a must have. Highly recommended for those in the area.
Really good fancy dinner space in Pondy. Food is not so expensive compared to most places and the quality deserves it. Have been there twice and both the times they were great! We had a vegan who dined with and they had took extra care to accommodate her and make her happy!
La Villa is an extremely personalised and relaxed environment right in the hustle and bustle of White Town. The hotel facilities were good even though the pool was closed for maintenance the sunny terrace around it was very nice. Rooms were a good size and well appointed - very comfortable with choice of fans and air conditioning. Breakfast was very nice too. Once staff member was outstanding being Lupin - who was delightful to chat to and made the best cappuccinos!
This was our biggest surprise. We went in to find the place totally empty, with staff nowhere to be found. We thought to try some other place, went out but came back after 30 mins to be greeted by none. Then one staff came and arranged a table outside. The food there was really good and enjoyed the ambience. Learned that this was under the same management of Villa Shanti. Would definitely recommend this place. If it's after dusk, would recommend sitting inside as there were quite a lot of mosquitoes outside. But to enjoy the ambience, the place to sit is outside.
L'emplacement est ideal. Le service est soigne et attentionne.
Le cadre du restaurant est hyper agreable, calme avec une belle vegetation.
Les plats proposes sont tres proches d'un gastro francais. Le rapport cout/ qualite est excellent.
The best thing is staff behavior at this hotel. They so nice and supportive I came at night at 10 pm and even at that time they cooked dinner specially for me. One should always try this hotel.
