Hotel Radhika Regency - Hotel in Rourkela - Sundargarh, India

Great location and comfortable stay. Radhika is close to railway station and even provided complementary ride for my elderly parents to/from the station. Bus and auto stand is close by too. We had booked deluxe room. The room was spacious and everything worked as expected - AC, geyser, TV etc. It is surprisingly quiet considering how busy the outside street is. There is very little to see outside the window though. I wish they had a mini garden or someplace to relax. Restaurant - great ambience, tasty food and modest prices. Staff were also friendly and nice.

Located close to the Rourkela Junction. They have a free breakfast buffet which comes complimentary with the room booking. Rooms are well ventilated and clean.

Had the worst experience ever. My husband visited rourkela for the first time and he really had a bad first impression due to this hotel. 1. The front desk person name - Armita Tirkey really has some attitude problem. Trust me when I say this she rolled her very beautiful eyes with arrogance and no smile. No way she know how to behave with guests. 2. They charged us 5000 for a room which shouldn't be more than 2.5k. First they gave us a room where the AC wasn't working and the room was very basic, no window view. Then they changed our room. 3. We opted for deluxe room for king size bed but they gave us two mattresses on a king size bed due to which it became really uncomfortable and you just slip in between two mattresses. 4. Second room's bathroom door was working. I noticed that late. Had I been visited with a friend or someone other than your partner. You are left with no privacy and will always have the fear of someone entering. 5. Worst thing is when we returned to the room at night, the room was smelling odd so we called the reception for room freshner. The room service guy just rang the bell and barged in immediately without waiting for someone to open the door for them. Why am I saying this is only because as a girl I had to adjust my clothes before letting someone in. You cannot barge into a couple's room just like that. I did scold him and he was sorry for that. 6. The lift wasn't working from our floor. We have to walk down a floor then take the lift. 7. They had hired people to assist in parking. After we checked out our car keys were lying on their desk just like that, no body was there and we just took it and went back. Anybody else could have done so. No security in that sense. Overall it was really a bad experience, the worst infact for the amount they charged. The only good thing was food.

Very good neat and clean hotel. Food is very good. All staffs are very good, polite and helpful. Pickup and drop from station is a good service.

So we went to the restaurant of Radhika Regency for dinner for a birthday treat by a friend. We were excited about the place. But after the dinner all our excitement went to vain. The food we ordered were not upto the mark. At first we ordered american corn and paneer tikka for starter, corn was good, but paneer was tasteless. Then for main course we ordered many items, out of which again the paneer from paneer kadhai was tasteless. Though the gravy of ot was good. I think the problem was with paneer only. After main course we ordered mocktails and ice creams. The ice cream again was having a weird consistency. Ambience, presentation of food and service wise it is good, but the food taste can be improved.

Loved the place and the food! The staffs are cooperative and well behaved. Prangya Tripathy was our service staff and she made me feel welcomed and served me well. Satisfied customer!
