Must try for South Indian food. Nice staffs and great atmosphere. The best Tea one can get in Pondicherry. Don't miss the Tea. This is simply the best Tea. Full of Milk and strong tea. Dosa was also good..
Small place with a good beach view. The prices are normal. A good place to have south Indian food such as idly Vada dosa, rava dosa.. Filter coffee is the best and must try.. Clean and tidy place. Highly recommended to eat here and enjoy the rock beach view

The restaurant is on the costly side considering the normal interior setup and service provided.

This quick service restaurant is authentic Mangalorian, hygienic and has a very reasonably priced menu. I had all my breakfasts and most of my lunches here during my stay.
Great idly, very fresh and amazing sambhar. Dosas were amazing as well. Every single one of the five stars truly deserved!

It was certainly a surprise to see a coastal Karnataka food hotel at Pondicherry.
It's situated right on beach promenade.
It's very clean and tidy.
The only problem is , it's too small.
The food items were very tasty.
Podi idly and Malpe rolls were yummy.
Well, its the best authentic Karnataka state food I have ever had till now outside the state. We tried different items including akki rotti, sambhar vada, rava masala dosa and bisi bele bath and I must say all were really good. Quality was a bit less in my opinion but worth giving a try if u like Karnataka state food.
Cafe Udupi is located in a prime street ( goubert Avenue, rock beach road) so it have a nice ambience. I like the food taste but cost is very expensive like 2 idli cost is 100 rps. Over crowded and very noisy and not able to get the seat also. This is not a perfect place for budget travelers.
