It's an old local restaurant, you can enjoy southern indian breakfast. It was very crowded and it wasn't esayto order it. The food was great, the service wasn't good.
The cup & saucer have been used for too long and have many cracks. It doesn't look hygienic.
Okay this is a famous and iconic place as it's been around the town for a long time...
They gotta change their ambience, it's okay to be classic but should be up to the standards..
Everyone gave hype for their Bombay tost but the problem is most of their menu will be prepared only after 8.30 am in the morning and if you're gonna order Bombay tost or dosa varieties you gotta reach after 8.30 am.. this is purely based on my experience..
Apart from this don't order their idli as it's pretty useless...
Just order sambar vada and poori masala.. that's really great...
After you finish your food you gotta wait for the waiter to bring you the bill as he will take his own time to do it..
Love the by gone era charm of this place. Food was good for the price. It's a very basic place so don't expect high standards for hygiene. Service has to be prompt as they are so busy.
The atmosphere is perfect for pictures, but it is clearly overpriced for the quality of the food and tea.
Had the toast and the bombay toast but they are not worth it.
Service is alright, quick and efficient. On our first order we got it wrong, asked for a change, but the change wasn't taken into account.
Agreable cafe restaurant.
Les serveurs sont au petit soin, l'architecture interieure interessante et les plats proposes sont bons et pas chers.
Order takes so much time to be prepared. Difficult to find place at weekend mornings due to tourist crowds. The only unique dish was the Bombay Toast which is worth trying. The crust of the Bread was unique. Rest of the items were costly and the prices are not afforadable. Butter Masala Dosa had very lesser butter. Quality is also not up to the mark.
Do not come. Its bad. Believe my review- I'm a foodie and have eaten in several types of places in Tamil Nadu. Do not come here, your mood will be spoiled.
Indian Coffee House is a nice place to have breakfast. We tried Idly, Puri and Bombay toast. All are good and tasty. The coffee taste is also authentic.
