Bharathi Mess near Kapaleeshwarar Temple - Breakfast Review:
1.Ambiance and Crowd:
Neat ambiance with a capacity for around 50 diners.
Visited at 9:30 am; relatively less crowded, offering a pleasant dining atmosphere.
2.Serving Style:
Food served on a banana leaf, adding a traditional touch.
3.Ordered Items:
a.Thattai Iddly: Fluffy and delightful, accompanied by sweet sambar, coconut chutney, and tomato onion chutney. Rating: 8/10.
b.Medhu Vadai: Crispy exterior, soft inside, fulfilling the expectations of a classic medhu vadai.
c.Poori Baji Set: Paper-thin pooris with tasty potato baji, though slightly oily. Rating: 7/10.
d.Filter Coffee: Average taste, rated 6/10.
4.Pricing:
Thattai Iddly: Rs62, Poori: Rs72, Coffee: Rs24.
5.Food Quality:
Ranges from average to good; the Thattai Iddly being a standout.
6.Location and Parking:
Conveniently located near Kapaleeshwarar Temple but lacks parking for 4-wheelers.
Suggested parking on the north and east sides of the temple, a short walk to the restaurant.
5.Service:
Unfortunately, the service was lacking.
Manager exhibited sluggish and rude behavior.
Bharathi Mess provides a decent breakfast experience. The Thattai Iddly stands out as a flavorful choice. However, the coffee is just average, and the service could use improvement, with the manager being a bit slow and unfriendly. Prices are fair, and the location is handy, although parking options are limited. If you're in the mood for a traditional breakfast, it's worth a visit, but don't expect top-notch service
Bharati Mess in Mylapore is a top-notch restaurant offering exceptionally healthy food. Regardless of the dish, the food leaves you feeling light and satisfied. The flavors are vibrant, and the menu caters to various dietary preferences. The welcoming ambiance, knowledgeable staff, and focus on promoting a healthy lifestyle make it a standout choice in the area. Highly recommended for those seeking a delicious and nourishing dining experience.
Located next to the Mylapore kabaleeshwarar temple, this establishment has its own loyal fan base. I've been enjoying their lunch meals, curd rice or vegetable biryani everyday and I've had no complaints so far. It's a little pricey compared to other establishments in the locality. Hence one star less. It is also got a neat ambiance. Nothing fancy though. If you want to enjoy good home style food in the presence of nice Bharathiyar quotes and poems, this is the place to visit.
Good and decent vegetarian hotel locat3d very near to Kapaleswarar temple entrance. Mess is AC facility. Good serving persons with smiling face. Family recommended for this mess.
Thatu idly was awesome with podi and ghee. Poondu garlic dosa was good but very spicy since they adding red chilli in the paste. Samabr and chutneys were ok in tatse. Vadacurry tastes ok.
They serving dishes in banana leaf , so hygine is maintained. Hotel was always crowded.
Coffee tastes ok .
Over all everything looks to be nice.
We went to Mylapore location for lunch. We didn't like the food quality and service, Karakuzhambu was sweet and Sambar was spicy, none of the side dishes tasted good. In total it is a disaster.
We noticed that the restaurant using rusted tablespoons, which raised some hygiene concerns and affected our perception of cleanliness and food quality.
Despite sharing our concerns with the supervisor, we were disappointed by the lack of a satisfactory response to the issues we encountered during our visit to Rusted tablespoons
Highly overhyped. We had idiyappam + vadacurry. Idiyappam was not soft. It was rough and thick. Vadacurry was just like getti sambar with bonda pieces. There was no spice in vadacurry. Shame for the recipe. Their signature thattu idli not available by 9.20pm. The Service gentleman just wanted us to get Paneer dosa for any dosa we asked. Cost was normal. Place not worth it.
Nice menu. It's exciting to go through the information about Barathy. The songs of Barathy being played in the background adds to the concept Like the poet who was concerned about the society this outlet seems to care about the health of its customers
