Best gym. Period. All the employees are awesome and very helpful. This is the only gym where people aren’t creepy about people working out and where all shapes and sizes are welcomed.

Nice large climbing facility, with full work out room, yoga/fit classes are free with a day pass or membership. Plenty of climbing lead/top rope, auto belays(climbing tall walls by yourself) and bouldering. Staff is friendly and vibe is good. Whether your a seasoned climber or looking to get in to the sport this is a great spot!

We were visiting from out of town and wanted to get some climbing in before an outdoor trip later this week. Quinn was super friendly and helpful in helping us get all set up with rental gear and showing us around the facility. It’s a big facility with bouldering, top roping, auto belays and a kid’s area. The route-setting was varied and exciting, and the atmosphere was safe and welcoming. If we lived in Albuquerque we would definitely become members— you’re lucky to have this in your city!

Went to a birthday party and the party area was well organized, the staff was knowledgeable and helpful. They did a great job with the safety instructions and ensuring the kids had fun and a GREAT experience!! They'll all sleep well tonight!

I’ve been a member of Stone Age for about 5 years. Stone Age is a family establishment where children run around unattended (for better or worse), there are children’s parties on weekend, children’s rock climbing classes during the week, etc. Our family has relied on Stone Age as a place to relax, have fun, and enjoy the same activities. Up until a few days ago there was a full time white male employee (in charge of safety and maintenance) that has a violent criminal record. When an Asian female employee brought up this violent history to the attention of the owner (Brian) she was ignored, silenced, and shamed. Days later it came to my attention that not only did this man have a violent criminal background but also a current restraining order against him INCLUDING sexual abuse of a minor. I have a small child that climbs at Stone Age. She has spent time with that male employee! Let me be clear. This is not ok and I am exercising a tremendous amount of restraint as I write this. I have no words. Except these. Brian, I don’t know you but your actions/inactions went against every basic consideration of safety and concern for employees, members, and the climbing community overall. Either commit to growing and learning how to be a more responsible business owner (and better example to younger climbers), or pass the torch to someone that understands the job.

Went with some girlfriends and we had a blast. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good variety of routes to climb. Nice people there climbing. We worked out in the fitness center after which was an added bonus. Give this place a try for a fun change of pace.

As soon as you enter the building, it stinks of dirty feet. I understand it's a climbing gym, but as I've read below from other reviewers and stoneage response, they only clean the holds every 4 to 6 weeks minimum. Given the membership/ daily visit costs, you would be lead to believe cleanliness is not only more frequent but of more importance for the overall experience of this climbing gym. It's also much smaller than others in this price range. The bathrooms fell short, too. Out of paper towels and low on soap. I'm not happy with this experience at all.

Wish we had more time to do some climbing. Lots of nice space to spread out the areas. Found a very cool chalk bag called Brad the hair model to take home to join Max. Great gym beside a cool place The Tim Can.
