Had a great time here! Experienced climber visiting from out of town - everyone was so nice and friendly. Great top rope, auto belay, leading and bouldering. One of the best climbing gyms I’ve ever been to!

We love visiting rock gyms in other states, and this one is definitely our favorite. Friendly staff, awesome route setting. We will definitely stop here again next time we’re passing through Albuquerque!

A little pricey for a day pass, pretty crowded as would be expected on a weekday evening. Plenty of bouldering and top rope options, not as much lead climbing options. Definitely the best gym in Albuquerque. Mats were soft and there were plenty of storage cubbies and lockers to store belongings while climbing.

One of my favorite places to be. The climbs are often changing, so there is great variety, and don't get me started on the staff! They are knowledgeable and just awesome people. Seriously, this is the place to be.

I’ve been a member of Stone Age for about 5 years. Stone Age is a family establishment where children run around unattended (for better or worse), there are children’s parties on weekend, children’s rock climbing classes during the week, etc. Our family has relied on Stone Age as a place to relax, have fun, and enjoy the same activities. Up until a few days ago there was a full time white male employee (in charge of safety and maintenance) that has a violent criminal record. When an Asian female employee brought up this violent history to the attention of the owner (Brian) she was ignored, silenced, and shamed. Days later it came to my attention that not only did this man have a violent criminal background but also a current restraining order against him INCLUDING sexual abuse of a minor. I have a small child that climbs at Stone Age. She has spent time with that male employee! Let me be clear. This is not ok and I am exercising a tremendous amount of restraint as I write this. I have no words. Except these. Brian, I don’t know you but your actions/inactions went against every basic consideration of safety and concern for employees, members, and the climbing community overall. Either commit to growing and learning how to be a more responsible business owner (and better example to younger climbers), or pass the torch to someone that understands the job.

This gym is by far one of my favorites in all the gyms I have visited around the world. Routes here are very well set regardless of route setter. Everything flows smoothly and can be incredibly challenging. This gym features something for everyone, lead walls, large bouldering areas, auto belays and plenty of top ropes as well. Difficulty is very well spread out so there is something for every level of climber in every part of the gym. With COVID, the gym has great safety precautions. Staff is incredible, very knowledgeable, professional, personable and helpful in all aspects. Highly recommended for everyone and a must visit for people passing through!

What a great climbing gym. I was passing through on my way to Red Rocks, and stopped in for a workout. Great setting, lots of bouldering and auto belays (for those of us climbing solo), but also lots of great lead routes. I really liked that they separate the warm-up area/beginner area from the lead climbing area. And the workout space is great too!

They honor our Second Amendment rights! (five stars already) I brought my Girl Scout troop here today. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The girls had a blast. The manager was super accommodating for our large group for which we are grateful. The equipment isn't brand new, but it's in excellent condition. There is a wide variety of courses to challenge you in whatever you need challenging. The cushions, floors, bathrooms, etc are clean. The parking is easy. I totally recommend this place for all your climbing needs. They also have a specialty store in the front if you need stuff.
