Great place to learn Texas, Mexico, and U.S.A. history. Free to drive through park area, but admission to enter monument and museum. Museum has great film and static showcases. Elevator to almost 500 ft up monument to get bird's eye view of battleground and beyond.

Historic place to visit, worth a visit. Cost is $14 each to get in. The movie was well done & worth a watch. You can also drive around & see different places of the battle with information via a map. There was a school group with kids running everywhere inside while we were there which made the experience not as good.

COOL place to go. Military discount and generally low entry cost. 6$ kids 6-11 Adults 14$, seniors and Military 10$. The observation deck is 470 feet up, so great views.

It was our first visit here and it was very cool that we got to come here on veterans day! So much history and the very fate of Texas was fought here! I thought the price of entry for the museum was worth it and only cost $14 I believe. The only downside is that the site is surrounded by oil refineries. Texas is huge and wished that older city planners would have preserved more of the area!

5 stars! The San Jacinto Monument Museum is a must-see for any family visiting Houston. It is a great place to learn about the history of Texas and the Battle of San Jacinto, which was a pivotal event in the Texas Revolution. The museum has a variety of exhibits that are informative and engaging for all ages. There are interactive displays, artifacts, and facts about the people involved that tell the story of the battle and its aftermath. The museum also has a number of educational programs and activities that are perfect for families. We had a fantastic time at the San Jacinto Monument Museum. Our kids were especially interested in the binoculars that were placed in the fifth floor overlooking the surroundings and houston skyline. They were also fascinated by the artifacts, such as the hand cannons and uniforms that were used in the battle. We even made it a interactive fact game and the winner would get a cool prize front Buc-ees, which is a ferry trip and probably about 8 minutes away in Baytown. We would highly recommend the San Jacinto Monument Museum to anyone looking for a fun and educational experience. It is a great place to learn about Texas history and to appreciate the sacrifices that were made for our independence. Here are some specific things that we loved about our visit: The museum is very well-organized and easy to navigate. The exhibits are informative and engaging. There are a variety of exhibits that are appropriate for all ages. The museum has a number of educational programs and activities that are perfect for families. The staff at the museum is very friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, we had a wonderful time at the San Jacinto Monument Museum. Well curated but need more signage around the site to see where the armies were etc. Expect to spend about 90 min to 2 hrs if you watch the 40 min movie.

Rode bikes to the museum and San Jacinto Historic Park. The only downside to the trip is that people still have hate in their heart. While headed back from the museum and park. A maroon in color, GMC drove extremely close to us, then sprayed windshield washer fluid on us.

I was born in Waco and raised in Houston , but other than coming to have Sunday picnics on the grounds , I have never been here and was too young to care about the history of the battleground. As an adult, this place was amazing today. If you are a Texan , YOU MUST visit the museum and go to the observation deck. If you enjoy history , this is a must stop as well.
