This resort is a beautiful getaway with all the amenities you want for relaxation and fun. My favorite things about it are the in-room balconies, location on a walking path next to the water and cozy fireplaces active whenever there's a chill. It's not very walkable to other sites/businesses, but that adds to the quiet atmosphere.

We had a great stay recently here. Every staff member we encountered was so nice and helpful, they really exceeded all of our expectations. The property is very nice and well kept. Our room was spacious with an amazing view. Housekeeping did a great job throughout our stay. They had fun activities available and we loved the s’mores on the beach. The location is isolated (which made it feel even more relaxing) so you have to drive to destinations but it’s so quick and easy to get on the highway (freeway? Ha I’m not from CA). We didn’t eat much at the resort - part of our love for San Diego is the delicious food we seek out throughout the city- but the few things we did have were excellent, and made better by the wonderful service. Really great resort!

Feels a bit disconnected from the city, old and needs renovation. - no complimentary water in room; - beds are not so comfortable; - parking is 43$ per night (+ Tax, fees and tips of course); - location is not great (you would have to drive to the nearest CVS, grocery etc); - didn’t like room view - it was just under the pool and dining area (where staff was loudly throwing folding chairs and tables after lunch 🫠 - if you are staying on the second or upper floor, you would have to bring the luggage up stairs by yourself or ask the bellman to help you; - definitely overpriced for this kind of hotel (700$ for two nights including all the “because why not fees” kinda thing and unreasonable late check out fee of 75$ on the day before I actually did the check out 🤦🏻‍♀️ by the way, I did check out right on time… + food was good.

Nice hotel. Parking is expensive but did feel like our vehicle was secure and safe the entire time. Rooms are nice, but queen beds were more likely double beds than actual queens. Pool are is nice and clean, but the hot tubs could use better maintenance and care. I think my biggest complaint was the lack of exhaust fans in bathrooms which made every shower like a sauna, and the exterior hallways to rooms and exterior patios/balconies could use more power washing to remove bird poop.

Especially thanks to the front desk lady “ Isabel” she is very friendly and nice , we arrived from. Red eye flight and got checked in early, she is very thoughtful and put us as soon as possible! She is so nice and very professional with her work . I especially likes her smile which let us feel be at home . She had explained every detail that we need to stay happily in the hotel . Also I met with another staff who is the head of the security driving by. He was very friendly and thoughtful as well. I love the hotel ‘s location very quite and the resort is very clean and have lots of of fun place you can go !

Wow. I loved this place. It would be even better of it were beach front and not just bay front. But wow, it was still so beautiful! I recommend staying in the villa rooms that are right there facing the water. The rooms don't have microwaves. Just a heads up. And the fridge is tiny. I just thought that for such an expensive resort, they would have everything in the rooms. We always need more charging port options besides the beds (everywhere we go - not just here) and that was the case here. We needed more places to hang towels and swim suits too. I'm surprised that beach resorts aren't totally geared up for stuff like that... dealing with water sports aftermath in your hotel room. Anyways...the view was beautiful and it is right by Sea World. It did not take us too long to get to the San Diego zoo as well. There were restaurants nearby to choose from. You can also eat at the resort, but I know it is probably more expensive. There are activities that you can do at the resort but you have to pay extra so just a heads up. Make sure to look into those fun things. We love the pool here! And there are two hot tubs. And we really enjoyed the fire pit in the middle of it all. Parking your car at the resort is not free unless you are a member of AAA. It was cheaper for us to join AAA for a year, than to pay for 3 nights to park our car at the resort. If you are a member of AAA, then they also waive the resort daily fees. The beds seemed a bit small in our room but they did just fine. We needed a rollaway bed. Those are like $30 extra a night. There is a convention room, a spa, a game room, and lots to do. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Such a beautiful place!

Missions Bay Resort was the perfect family stay. We have a young child and loved time by the pool and splash pad. The staff was easy to work with and kind to our child. The little holiday activities were so cute and added the extra touch that put our stay over the top. The resort is close to two parks and has a path behind the resort, perfect for walking safely to the park or morning runs. We will definitely stay at Missions bay again.

The cleanest part of the hotel was the lobby and front walkway. The hotel room was disgusting. Dust and hair all over the room including the supposed clean towels. I found a used condom and vodka bottle in our mattress. Having two children in this room made this situation a nightmare. Ordered an ocean view room and did not receive. We had two brown recluses on our patio, not what you want to see when you have children. It was a Waste a money. Get ready to pay for everything including labor tax because the hotel is to cheap to pay there employees so they expect the consumer to. They only take cards Get ready to tip 25% in this cashless society. The list goes on. Sorry I do not recommend.||
