Campland on the Bay - Resort hotel in San Diego - 2211 Pacific Beach Dr, USA

Stayed here in 2011 and it was awesome ! Liked it so much my dad and I ended up staying for 3 weeks in the end. The Hot Tub next to the pool was lovely and hot and I spent most of my time there. Made Friends with a Canadian girl who was on vacation with her dad and uncle maybe and we spent time walking down to Mission Beach / Pacific Beach which are a couple of mile walk (passing great shops / bars / restaurants) or cycling around the bay . Beautiful place to visit. I had stayed at Banana Bungalow on the beach when I was younger so It was nice to re visit the area.

Fun RV park with everything a person needs right on site. The cantina serves drinks and food early till late, market has a coffee bar, they fill the week with activities and events for all ages. We had a blast with our family. But aware of the underage kids driving golf carts erratically on the weekends but other than that everybody and everything was super cool, and that's really on the parents not the park. 5/5 stars will definitely stay again.

Have stayed for nearly 4 months in Campland on the Bay. Location is fantastic, park is nicely maintained. Trees, plants and landscaping are beautiful. Campland Cantina being onsite is convenient for food and drinks. Easily accessible bicycle paths that will take you along the bay and to Pacific and Mission beaches. Only cons I can think of would be cramped sites and they do let a lot of loud/partying types of people in so be prepared for some noise, particularly on weekends. Overall, we have enjoyed our stay at Campland. Will definitely consider booking here again when we visit San Diego with the RV in the future.

This a great place, we come off season in October and it is the best weather , not so crowded. The service is still top notch of everyone who works there, place is clean, bathrooms are clean and plenty all around. You have so many choices of where to camp. Quiet tree line spots. Spots right next to the water. Great market with a little of everything you may need or forgot. Top Shelf Cantina bar and plenty of things to do. LOVE IT!

I read some of the reviews before leaving one.. come on people. This is a very pretty campground. It is definitely more of an RV or camper place. There’s a playground, kids play, im happy they’re outside. I slept in a tent on top of my truck, and slept great! Everyone respected quiet hours. Lots of shade. The spots are somewhat close together, but every two spots where I am has a fence. My brother and I each rented a spot and got an entire corner to ourselves. Close to very clean and nice bathroom. If you want absolute quiet and no kids go camp in dispersed camping, you’ll have quiet and alone. I’ll be back!

Great service, friendly staff, and an awesome location. Lots of amenities (great Cantina, large laundry facility, well stocked general store, skate park, basketball court, pickleball court, ample restrooms and showers, right on the beach). My only complaint is that the RV spots can be a little tight, and most are asphalt only. This is a great place if you have kids or like lots of activity. We'll stay here again!

Would give this place 5 stars except for their mail pickup policy. Can only pick up between 2 &5pm. Sucks big time when you are gone every afternoon. I understand their news to sort mail and packages when they come in but there should be some accommodations for those that can't make those hours. But, nope.

Campland on the Bay is a family-friendly place to stay with amenities. The pool felt so refreshing after a hot day! The hot tub is big enough to enjoy with friends. The winding roads are perfect for family bike rides or walks. Views of the bay! The little store has coffee drinks for sale, and anything else you might need. A Cantina and ice cream shop are also available.
