The Fisherman's Memorial is a beautiful monument along the harbor, honoring the fisherman who have lost their lives at sea. If you're visiting Gloucester because you're a fan of the movie "A Perfect Storm" then this monument/memorial is a must-see.

Always stop here on my trips back home. Weekends tend to be crowded and if the weather is warm as well. Excellent harbor trail to walk but the best place is the park down the street.

Living in NH, I generally go to the coast closer to home. As beautiful as it is, I loved the Gloucester area. I had to go for work showing houses and decided to follow the scenic route to check it out. There was early Christmas festivities going in here and there. Such a wonderful time if year there. We can't wait to go back in warmer weather with our cobra sports car!

This is a beautiful place that honors those lost to the sea. I appreciate all the fisherman and sailors - much respect.

Beautiful and iconic memorial to all the fishermen lost in Gloucester. Park your car and read about the history. It is very humbling.

Was shocked how beautiful this area was! Gloucester is a beautiful place in general full of history. A lot of thing within walking distance of this memorial include stores, beaches, restaurants, sea shells, or just a relax day looking out to the ocean.

The fishermen’s memorial is a great tribute to people who have been lost at sea. It spans for 4 centuries and details all who were lost with their names upon the memorial.Also the survivors memorial is right next to The fishermen’s memorial.You will see nice shots of the bay and many boats that will enter the river by a manned drawbridge. Also right up the street is a medieval castle with self and scheduled tours. (Hammond. Castle),Truly a great place to visit.

A wonderful monument for those from Gloucester who died at sea just trying to earn their living. We visited on a Sunday and Monday and parking was plentiful and free. Lovely place to walk and enjoy the ocean view.
