Though we have had trouble with communications around equipment and or other facility concerns, overall, the YMCA is very clean place for the all of the community to enjoy. The health club is such a great resource for elders, people with physical challenges, as well as for the young and inspired athletes. Soon, new Treadmills will be arriving and hopefully they will work a little better than the current ones. Overall, it's a great place.
Overall, it is a beautiful, well designed building. Modern and clean, too. Had my son's pool party birthday there.
I really enjoy working out at the Cape Ann Y. I live closer to the Beverly Y but prefer the Cape Ann Y. My favorite instructor is Vanessa Lee. Her classes are challenging and she is very personable and informative about how to achieve the best results for an exercise. She gives options for those seeking more or less challenge, or for people who have issues that may make an exercise not work for them. The facility is new and kept clean and the reception staff are welcoming. I also have to add the commute and parking. It's a quick couple of turns off route 128 and there is plenty of parking.During the summer months, I enjoy the outside classes on the turf as a way to exercise while enjoying fresh air and sunshine.
We had my daughters pool party at the Gloucester YMCA. She had so much fun with her friends! The staff was very helpful day of getting us tables and chairs to set up the room. The Membership director Celia Sanfilippo was great with answering all my questions via email weeks leading up to the party. The recreations room where you go after the kids swim was large enough to accommodate our big party. I would recommend having a kids pool party at the YMCA. The facility is beautiful and spacious. Lily will remember this party forever. Thank you!
Great atmosphere, wonderful community vibe, light -filled spaces, top of the line equipment, super clean , excellent array of classes Unbelievable value Love the Gloucester Y!!!
The people at the front desk, the beautiful facilities, the amazing teachers and the incusivity of the classes. I find myself working out with people way younger and way older than I am, so when I feel like i want to escape and stop working out (too hard, can't do it, etc.) I look around and see everyone else doing it so I just stay in the class and do it too! The hard part is just getting there and starting. I also love the flexibility and variety of classes to take. And the vibes and energy are amazing. I heard that 11,000 people in a town of 30,000 are members which also makes me want to belong!
The Cape Ann YMCA is a wonderful asset to the community. The staff is helpful and friendly, the facility is clean and well equipped. I use the pool for lap swim, the exercise machines, and the gym for basketball fun. I highly recommend the Cape Ann YMCA.
To the YMCA Leadership: I want to thank you for listening and staying on top of the equipment, it’s great to go in and have the TV's working! I also want to extend my thanks and compliments to Calandra, Susanne and Cassie - they are all fantastic! I have worked with Calandra the most, she is so supportive and provides such a positive reinforcement, etc. I just started working with Susanne for strength training and she has been very helpful and encouraging too! Cassie has also been helpful and appreciate all she has done to coordinate my schedules and payments!

Very tasty Lebanese dishes and friendly owners. A lot of people started coming in as we ordered so it's a really popular place. A nice change of pace if you need a break from clams and lobster in Gloucester.
I absolutely love this place. I usually get a martini with breakfast, but today, just coffee. The food here is phenomenal, and the service is impeccable. I do recommend coming early. The place tends to fill up fast. The options are great, and I LOVE

The Fisherman's Memorial is a beautiful monument along the harbor, honoring the fisherman who have lost their lives at sea. If you're visiting Gloucester because you're a fan of the movie "A Perfect Storm" then this monument/memorial is a must-see.
