Wow. That was the word that came to mind while taking Manoji's hatha class. When I arrived at the shala and saw the room full [for a drop in class], I knew something good was coming. And it exceeded all my expectations. Exactly what I've been looking for lately. Coherently, he guided practitioners dynamically, in a complete practice of hatha yoga in all its elements: asana, pranayama, kriya, mantra, mudra. Everything was clearly thought out in detail, no "automatic pilot" on; just following tradition and the science behind this ancient practice. Unfortunately, in the West we sometimes grimace when we hear about "following tradition". It goes a little against the millennial mentality, and often, it goes against "Instagram yoga". Not that there's anything necessarily wrong with the latter - everyone is free to be happy following what makes sense to them. But when we practice yoga, over the years, the psychophysical aspects and benefits (including meditation) are increasingly evident, however, not always accessible in a class, due to infinite factors. As a practitioner and student, it is this path that I always want to explore, as it is clear that there are refinements to be made in my own self practice, and also the classes I offer. Today was one of the best hatha classes I've ever taken. For anyone passing through Agonda and surrounding areas, I highly recommend going to purnam yogashala .

I have been practising yoga since 2019 with Purnam Yoga School.. both on my visits to Goa and in online classes - including through the pandemic. Manoj is my favourite teacher in the world - he makes the classes fun and light but also with integrity. I have gained so much physical and mental strength from these classes as well as physical and emotional flexibility. I also really enjoy the classes with the other teacher, Akshay. The Purnam yoga style is true yoga and works on the whole body - and facilitates hormonal and emotional balance too.
