Bhakti Yogshala - Yoga School In India, Rishikesh | Yoga Teacher Training in India | 200 Hour Yoga teacher training in India - Yoga studio in Agonda - South Goa, India

Had a very disappointing experience at Bhakti Yogashala in Agonda. Having booked months in advance and had frequent communication with the owner, Nitin, who seemed very kind and honest online, I thought that I has secured myself a good yoga experience - I was wrong. From the time I had arrived it was clear that Nitin had not been honest with me. Firstly, the Yogashala itself was far from being that - a Yogashala, resembling more of a construction site, with key features such as the dinning area, accomodation and the yoga studio itself being far from completed. While Nitin told me 5 other students had booked in, it was clear that this was also untrue nor could it have ever been the case, with only two accomodation rooms for guests having been completed. Despite this Nitin was persistent that more guests would arrive later on when the rooms (concrete foundations at this point) were completed. Things didn't get better. The kitchen sink arrived at dinner time. The openning ceremony was merely an opportunistic photo shoot of me and the two other unfortunate students on the beach. The one way glass on the accomodation was actually two ways. With a lack of curtains this meant that there was zero privacy in the rooms. The sewage was just a pipe leading from the toilet to an open trench behind the room. The 'free wifi' was a hotspot from Nitins phone. We left in the morning without getting the deposit back However, the food was lovely, cooked by a very lovely women. And there was a nice yoga instructor.

I don't know how to express my disappointment in Bhakti Yogshala in Goa. We booked in months in advance and then upon arrival discovered the studio and buildings were half built, the rooms smelt like fresh paint and were clearly completed minutes before our arrival. The facilities were very poor and Nitin (the owner) avoided communication with us. The opening night felt very disingenuous and was really just an opportunity for them to take photos of us for their marketing. We left after the first night as it's difficult to learn from people who are not honest. One star for the food which was delicious and the one yoga class we attended which was well taught. I wish Bhakti Yogshala all the best and hope they can be honest with their customers in the future.

I'm extremely happy to have found this place. There were three of us at Agenda's location, so we were able to get to know each other very quickly. It was like a small village and you feel like a family. The people, from the cook to the teachers, were all magical. Nitin fulfilled all our wishes without any objections and he also spreads a very warm energy. Although the place is still in its beginning, we were all understanding. There were curtains in the rooms, so we had enough privacy. The timetable was also revised weekly to give us variety. The teachers, from philosophy classes to Ashtanga and Vinyasa, were all passionate about their work and gave us a lot of valuable knowledge. My heart is filled with gratitude and love for this place. So happy to see you again soon <3

I signed up and paid for YTT 200 hr months ago for June/July. Upon arrival Nitin sent a different location to an apartment building in a different town away from the ocean. They knew Monsoon was coming and not possible to be at the location advertised prior to my arrival. If I knew the truth and Nitin was transparent I would not have paid so much in advance. I will never treat my students the way he has deceived us. Karma my friend. It is impossible to learn from a master you do not trust. The business mind got in the way of the experience. Multiple reasons to carry on and find a new teacher. may you ask detailed questions. The oceans are closed/no acro or ariel available. not ok to travel 1/2 way around the world for this. I completed the Kids Yoga Teacher Training Course. The teacher is very knowledgeable, fun, well organized, attentive to each student, was wonderful to grow with the group. We all were very inspired to practice following her. Bhakti Yogshala is a wonderful place to study and practice yoga at all levels, is obvious they are committed to provide the students with all they need to succeed in their (yoga) journey.

Took the 200HTTC (in person) in January in Palolem, Goa. Life changing experience and a great learning curve. Teachers were very knowledgeable and passionate and complemented each other perfectly. Training was challenging both in a physical and mental way and my practice has improved so much. The location is amazing, right on the beach. Accommodation was pretty simple and quite rustic, but I think it added realness to the experience as a whole. We all connected as a group, met amazing people and have many great memories. Thank you Nitin, Rupali, Arushi, Viraj, Pravesh! Can't wait to come back

I cannot express how happy I am to have been able to complete my advanced training with Bhakti Yogshala. Prior to COVID, I had planned to travel to Rishikesh to train in person because I felt that no training in the US could offer the comprehensive and authentic teachings of Yoga in the way that this school could. When my travel plans were cancelled, I began to think that advancing my training would have to be out on hold for quite some time; I knew that if I was going to advance my training, it would be with this school. When online platforms became available, I knew that it was time to enroll. The material, teachers, resources, and true Yogic essence offered in this training were everything I had hoped for and more. There's nothing that compares to going to the source, and Bhakti Yogshala is the source (or a true source) of Yoga. I couldn't be happier with my experience.

In August 2022 I took the 200 hour yoga class in person in Rishikesh. I couldn't find a lot of in person reviews online when I booked the course, so I hope this review can be helpful. Overall my experience in the program was great! The best part were the teachers. All of the teachers are really passionate, knowledgeable and friendly. I truly enjoyed working with them every day. The content is great as well. You're not just doing asana all day, you're also learning philosophy, meditation, anatomy, pranayama and also a lot of history about yoga and India. Our class was only 3 participants. Initially I was a bit sad because I wanted to meet more people but in the end it ended up being great because we all had so much 1:1 attention and the people in my class were great. Now for the things that can be improved. The location for this course was changed last minute without any prior notice. Our cab from the airport just took us to a new location. We were told the location change was for our safety, which I believe, but we discussed with the provider that in the future this should be mentioned. If location is important to you, ask the provider before you book. Our training ended up being in a hotel with a lot of construction going on outside. In the end you get used to it and it's fine, but it's definitely not a relaxing ashram. Also this has nothing to do with the provider but just know if you're booking this program during monsoon season it's going to be extremely hot and humid! It's bearable but just be ready for it. Overall for the price, this was a great course!
