Best place to experience the art.You can observe great paintings, crafts and clays.
This place showcases beautiful artwork. Entry fee is only Rs.20/-(20 Rupees is for the government museum along with the art gallery). The building has three storeys, with various sections like Hebbar section, Cheppudira Ponnappa Rajaram section. Good place to visit, if you are interest in art.
Closed!!! I came on Thursday, during normal opening hours, but all doors are closed. No sign at all indicating closure! The security guard confirmed it's closed.
Currently closed for renovation...perhaps for another year. This is some kind of secret as website of gallery says it is open and give timings etc. Tourist get a nice surprise when they visit and see everything is closed. . NO UPDATES on current position ...wonder why we call Bangalore the IT capital of India when they cannot ebem update the current status if gallery. I have given rating of 1 star because it does not accept zero stars.
1. Sculptures, excavations from 4th, 5th, 10th, 11th, 12th century.
2. Earthen wares from hoysala era and different eras.
3. Different eras weapons.
4. Tanjore style paintings.
5. Entry fees Rs. 20
Good place for all artists to get inspired, yet is very superficial. Even more and deep arts could be showcased. Probably the government isn't receiving enough revenue from it. And hence the entry fees is only Rs20. People are not still not enthusiastic to go there.
Good place to visit for people interested in art. Entry fee is very nominal. Place is not maintained well, lot of painting slots are empty and no replacement have been placed as well. Parking is available in the vicinity.
