The overnight desert camp was an amazing experience at such good value! Everything was provided - 2 camel rides (1 in the afternoon and 1 the next morning), plenty of snacks and water, a delicious dinner (very generous portions cooked fresh on a fire), breakfast, luggage storage and jeep travel. They even let us stay in their hotel room all day when we returned to freshen up before our onward train. It really felt 'off-the-beaten track' too, with lovely clean sand dunes and comfy beds to sleep out under the moon and stars. We saw the most incredible sunsets, sunrise and moonrise! Would 100% recommend.

We had an amazing desert safari with Trotters! The guides were all lovely people who looked after us so well, special thanks to Shiva and Preeam. The food they made for us in the desert was some of the best we have had on our trip. Sleeping under the stars was an unforgettable experience and the guides taught us much about life in the desert. This whole safari was definitely the highlight of our travels in India. Thank you!

My friend and I did an overnight camel safari with Trotters and I think it has been the highlight of our time in India so far. The experience of getting out in the wilderness with local guides was incredible. We did about 4 hours camel riding in total across the two days which was plenty. We took a long lunch break with our guide where he prepared food for us with fresh ingredients. When we reached the evening camp the local guides really looked after us and created a great atmosphere and amazing food. Going on a trip with Trotters is a must in Jaisalmer. It is very professionally organised and you get great value for money on a once in a lifetime experience. Big shout out to Indra our local guide, and Jalam who organised our trip and made us feel right at home.

Heading out of the bustling city of Jaisalmer into the beautiful serene desert for the night is the most incredible experience and I would recommend to anyone who likes amazing landscapes and creating everlasting memories. With Trotters, by far the best tour company we came across in Jaisalmer, you will be treated to a fun interactive camel ride, followed by tasty Indian cuisine and an opportunity to sleep under the thousands of stars that scatter the night sky. Waking up at sunrise over the dunes was magical and the whole tour was the best thing I have done in India.

On recommande !!! Si vous cherchez a faire un safari, et/ou une nuit a la belle etoile dans le desert du Thar, les agences sont nombreuses a Jaisalmer. C'est difficile de trouver celles dont l'organisation est serieuse. Nous nous sommes appuyes sur notre guide << Lonely Planet >>, qui proposait 3 agences mais c'est Trotters qui nous a paru le plus clair et qui nous correspondait le mieux ! La disponibilite du gerant nous a aide aussi a trancher sur une formule proposee par cette agence. Nous avons eu une tres belle experience avec elle et nous vous la recommandons chaudement ! Deja, les formules proposees sont tres variees, vous trouverez forcement le safari ideal ! Nous avons opte pour un safari de 3 jours et 2 nuits, dont la premiere nuit est a la belle etoile et la seconde au campement. C'etait la duree parfaite ! Tout est fait pour que vous puissiez profiter pleinement de votre safari (le transport pour s'y rendre et revenir du desert, le couchage mais aussi les repas compris dans le prix). Le programme sur le site est tres fidele a ce que vous faites ! Vous pouvez vous fier sans souci. Les chameliers et les personnes du desert, qui font partie de l'organisation, ont ete adorables avec nous et se sont occupes de tout (ex : les repas) pour que nous puissions profiter pleinement de notre safari, dont de notre nuit sur les dunes de sable ou nous arrivons avant le coucher du soleil, ce qui vous laisse le temps de contempler ce moment de la journee. Aussi, ne comparez pas le desert du Thar avec celui du Sahara. Ce sont deux deserts tres differents : il ne faut pas sous estimer le desert du Thar et ses paysages singuliers qui valent egalement le detour ! Nous avons aussi beaucoup apprecie la deuxieme journee, ou nous nous sommes retrouves tous les deux avec notre chamelier (nous avions choisi une formule plus longue comparee aux autres membres du petit groupe du premier jour). Nous avons ainsi pu profiter plus longtemps des paysages et du desert ! Notre chamelier a ete tres gentil et notre balade a dos de chameau s'est fini en fin de journee en arrivant au campement. En deux jours, nous avons fait environ 5h30 de balade a dos de chameau, ce qui etait tres bien, avec une pause longue aux heures les plus chaudes de la journee qui etait aussi le moment du repas ! Si la premiere nuit est exceptionnelle (dormir sous les etoiles), la seconde au campement a ete tres differente mais tres agreable pour finir ce safari : nous avons eu des animations culturelles (supers !) avec un buffet, avant de pouvoir nous reposer dans notre tente et de revenir le lendemain tranquillement sur Jaisalmer. Merci a Trotters et a l'ensemble de son equipe pour l'organisation ! Nous avons ete tres contents, et si nous devions revenir, nous n'hesiterons pas a les solliciter de nouveau pour un safari. Bonus : le patron peut vous proposer de vous reposer/prendre une douche a son hotel au retour de votre safari. De notre cote, nous avons pu profiter de cela avant le depart : notre train est arrive a 4h a Jaisalmer, autant vous dire que tout est ferme... De 6h a 9h, on nous a propose de profiter d'une chambre gratuitement. Nous avons beaucoup apprecie, nous en avions besoin ! Aussi, les gros bagages sont gardes sans souci par l'agence, pensez a preparer un petit sac a dos pour le safari. Nous avons pu les laisser plus longtemps pour profiter de la ville avant de partir. Au retour, il nous a egalement propose de nous reposer a son hotel mais la nuit au campement avait deja ete tres reposante !

I've been in May with Trotters for an amazing experience in the Thar desert. Everything was absolutely perfect: the local staff super friendly, an amazing welcome breakfast, Dalbat (I'm not sure his name is spelled correctely :D ) the "camel man" was really kind with the camels and moreover an amazing guide an excellent chef (lunch + dinner + breakfast). I was the only guest and May is low season for desert safari, 'cause it's definetely too hot in Jaisalmer. But the experience has been perfect, even with a long lunch break trying to avoid the summer heat.

The safari was truly a great experience - definitely a highlight of our trip in India. Piron and Sambu, from Trotters, made the adventure really special - friendly, attentive, and taking care of us all the time. Spending one night in the dessert is magical, and we highly recommend this experience with Trotters to anyone visiting Jaisalmer. Additionally, after our safari, Trotters provided a room so that we could take a shower and rest before we took the train. Overall, 10 out of 10!
