Great experience venturing into the Thar Desert with my wife guided by Fatan and Sambu. A truly wild and remote authentic desert camping experience. Very knowledgeable and laid back guides. I would highly recommend this company.

We absolutely loved this tour! Fatan and Sambu were the most excellent guides and camel leaders with buckets of knowledge on the desert and much authenticity. The food was so delicious and so home-made on the campfire. They were extremely caring and made sure everything was perfect for us, even in the pouring rain! They tailor the experience to how you want it to be and made us feel extremely safe and comfortable as we are two girls travelling. In the desert we stayed clear from more touristy areas and it was very peaceful to sleep under the stars in the desert. The camels were also looked after extremely well!

We had an incredible experience on the safari - camel riding was a unique adventure, sleeping under the vast sky was magical, the jeep ride added excitement, and the service and food was amazing. Fatan, in particular, provided excellent assistance. Highly recommend!

Had a truly unique experience sleeping in the desert under the open sky. We had dinner on the fire prepared by camel man Soda and jeep driver Soda, a ride to the dunes far outside the city, where it gets really dark at night.

I chose Real Deal Camel Safari because I read many good reviews about this provider. First of all, Fatan is a genuinely friendly guy who is willing to provide you support and information for any kind of questions you might have. I took half day tour due to the limited of time that I have for my trip and Fatan still accommodated my trip in a professional and friendly manner. I met one new friend during the safari and he felt the same way too. Well I guess the reputation don't lie, do they? The camels were treated nicely. The camel taker (Jalah) was also helpful and nice that he happily helped me to take some selfies on my camel. Sunset and the dinner were the best part. Fatan setup fire and cooked the meals for us so we had a deliciously fresh dinner. After watching sunset we stay for a while until the stars came out and the view became more magical. Someday I will definitely try sleeping in the desert with Real Deal Camel Safari. It's an experience you must have in a lifetime.

After long research me and my boyfriend decided to book a full day tour with Fatans Real Deal-company. (not to confound with the real desert man). Fatan really cares about his camels and the whole experience. Have a chat to him and you'll know he really cares! It's a 20m off the location on Google-maps, so if you can't find it just give Fatan a call and he will pick you up. We started early in the morning, Fatan picked us up and we first drove to a abandoned village and after that to a remote village which you can explore. Not a tourist-attraction, there is just you and the locals. Bring pens or other tiny gifts for the kids there, they'd really be happy about anything! After that we drove to the camels and the drive to them was even an adventure with this landscape! First we rode the camels together with Kamal (who can explain you everything about the desert since he grew up in a desert village) for 2 to 3 hours through the remote areas. It's not the Sahara, and on the one day tour you can't go as deep as on the longer tours of course. Once we had lunch we had total peace, there was nobody and nothing but Kamal preparing fresh Indian dishes over the fire for us and the camels which even got taken off the saddles for the time for lunch. So they really care about the camels. After lunch Kamal and Sambu swapped and with Sambu we had a really happy tour guide that makes you smile and always makes sure you're comfortable! We rode the camels for another 1 1/2 hours to the sunset so we could see the beautiful sunset. We then rode back with the camels to the place where we saw a traditional music and dance show which was really nice to see! At the end we had a really delicious indian buffet with traditional Chais. After the night show and buffet Fatan took us home with his jeep. All in all a really good experience. We couldn't ask for a better 1 day tour! Just wrap yourself for the morning and night if you do the tour during winter time. Thanks to Fatan, Kamal and Sambu!

A fantastic, unmissable experience! After some extensive research into finding a tour company to take us on safari around the Rajasthani desert my partner and I took a leap of faith and booked through these guys. I can honestly say it was a brilliant choise. Fatan the tour manager picked us up from our hotel and taken by jeep out further into the desert and shown the abandoned village. Then onto meet our camels and our guide Sambu. For the next 2 days Sambu entertained us, cooked fantastic food for us, looked after us and made sure to keep us from getting scammed from the occasional tout that sometimes we met on our path at certain look out points such as the sand dunes. (Thou dont worry, the sand dunes were not heaving with other tourists and touts. Just the odd one of 2 seen off in the distance) The one major point of our whole trip that's worth mentioning is our 1st night that we chose to camp under the stars. The night was going splendid, we where out in the wilderness away from anyone else. Just us and the stars, however the weather decided to spoil our night and by 1am the rain and wind was giving us a pounding. (Dont worry, our story gets better) To our rescue Fatan came, he checked up on us and asked us if we wanted to come back to his camp for a sheltered bed away from the elements Which we gladly accepted. This kind of hospitality shows that Fatan and Sambu care more about our experience than just earning another buck from a tourist. If you're going on a camel trek from Jaisalmer. Do it with these guys, you wont be disappointed!

Absolutly favoulous!! An experience that I will repeat for sure! This was the dream I had when I was thinking about a night in the desert. I could never imagine thatit would be so real! Fatan, the owner is the most authentic, passionate and honest person I've known so far in India. He was with us during the ride with camels and also during the night. He and his assistants Cam and Tan, were so warm and helpful. They prepared an excellent dinner and we were talking till late in front of the fire camp. Fatan shared with us his interestig story life. He has the dessert in his blood and he transmits it to you. We also talked about indian politics and society. Very interesting. The thing that makes the difference to do the safari with them is that they go outside the touristic camel ride route. They make you feel like you are discovering the desdert for the first time :) And the most important thing, they treat the camels with lot of care and respect. Fatan talks about camels with love. I would like to repeat the experience in the future, and for sure will be with them. Thanks for everything guys!!
