Came across this cute little restaurant in the middle of the ever busy M.G road. Right from the food to the service, Everything was on point. Loved the experience. Will definitely visit again. Go here after your busy shopping spree won't regret !!!
In the walking street of Puducherry, found this place and walked in without much of expectation.
Food is good and not exactly like you have in Chennai but near to it .
The owner is very kind to explain the menu and the difference of atho bejo mohingo to the customers .
You can find combos here .
Masala egg and burmas half boil is the best here.
Pan milkshake is very different and do try it .
Coming to ambience - the place is neat and clean.

Our family had an excellent culinary experience at Star Burma Hotel Pondicherry ... We came down from Sydney Australia and stayed at Pondicherry... Our family enjoyed the quality and tasty food and hospitality at this restaurant... My 5 year and 12 year old kid's out of all the other food they had in India, they loved the food here. Particularly the Atho chicken, Mohingo chicken, chicken and cheese fried momo burgers and the amazing milkshakes especially Bubblegum and Pan flavoured ones. We also relished the hot and spicy plantain soups, various variety of momo's and the single gulp masala eggs and chicken eggs were all simply too good... The tasty food and hospitality made us visit the restaurant multiple times during our stay...
We are sure to come back during our next India trip and will surely recommend to all my friends visiting Pondy "a must try"..
Tried fried atho and mohingo here. Taste was not as great as that of chennai atho shops. They also have starters such as soups, dragon chicken etc. Tried their rangoon eggs, which are assorted omelets with prawn, chicken, soft boil and poached. Masala eggs were not that spicy. Mohingo has bejo mixed with it, and served cold cuz that's how the dish is supposed to be eaten. The "I Pondy" background outside the shop attracts a lot of people. Shop is in a central location in MG road. It's great for people trying atho for first the time.
I had fired prawn atho
Taste is good and worth the price and quantity rating 4.5 /5
Egg masala also good but i miss tanginess in that rating 4/5
Overall good place with neat and clean ambience and good handling staffs and nice place to have dinner
Good location. Service is good but there is limited sitting space available. Food was pretty nice. A place you could try for a quick snack or meal alike.
Good Burma foods. Have tried atho and mohingo. Good taste. They are made of rice and not maida and hence a better alternative to macaroni or noodles and pasta. This is my personal opinion. They also serve Chinese with another joint attached. That is also good.
First time am trying Atho, it's too good and I loved egg with fried chicken Athocombo pack super good. simply wowww...must try everyone!!!
