Sri Yoga Ashram Rishikesh - Yoga studio in Rishikesh - Dehradun, India

I have been attending Sri Yoga Ashram since 2017. I have taken 3 different yoga teacher training courses in Ashtanga (2017), Hatha(2019)and Kundalini (2023) I wouldn't choose anywhere else to go in Rishikesh for my Yoga training. It is the professionalism and quality of the education and an authentic Indian Yoga experience in a welcoming family environment that makes it so special. This is not a yoga factory but a real school where you receive personalized attention from highly skilled teachers.

I have been this place for my solo trip and stayed in Sri Yoga Ashram . Room was very clean and Bathroom was good. I also do yoga class here. All the members of this Ashram was very helpful and supportive. Hotel ambience was very nice. They have provide complimentary breakfast which was great. I really need to thank all the Hotel Staff for the excellent service and I really enjoyed my visit. It was more than awesome.Very welcoming staff. Excellent reception desk. You can surely enjoy the stay with family , childrens ,friends and solo.

Would not recommend this place to anyone. I paid a lot of money to come to Rishikesh and learn yoga and I feel compleity ripped off. I have never ever left a review for anything, I am a simple girl and usually stay in the cheapest basic places. However When I tried to bring up some constructive criticism I was faced with them trying to argue, talking to me rudely and disrespectfully. There was a build up of many things that I could no longer tolerate. They did not communicate properly my corse dates and the expectations and then continued to blame me, speak to me with aggression and rudeness. They tried to make out they were giving me a discount for 100 hour but really they were giving me the correct price. The main teachers were far too often rude, arrogant, had huge attitude and lacked motivation for most classes. They were teaching us to be open minded yogis but they themselves were unable to even tolerate hearing any one else's different opinion. The teachers were late by 15 - 20 minutes for more than half the classes. We even had a couple no shows then were told the class was cancelled. The yoga studio was flooded for the whole time and they never thought to clean, and actually told us to, when we asked for supplies they just said there was none. Nothing to even clean the mouldy yoga mats with. There was centipedes and rat poo everywhere for about a week. My room was v dangerously moldy with no natural light and most of my clothes got mouldy. I did try to tell them I was unsatisfied so that we could work this through and I wouldn't have to leave a complaint, but was faced rudeness till the very end and it left me feeling complexity emotionally drained. They need to learn that I am the one paying them for a service and they must respect me.

I was during all July in Sri Yoga Ashram for yoga teacher training course, and the experience was amazing! Thank you to the teachers (Gaurav ji, Arpit ji, Ankur ji, and Pradeep ji), each course was interesting! I am really happy about it! And special thanks to Pradeep ji, Deepak ji, and Ritik ji, for being so kind and doing my days there and as my first time in India and Rishikesh, so easy and nice! dhnyvaad

About the Yoga Nidra online course! I usually don't like online courses very much. I feel that they tend to be impersonal and don't create the same bond. However, in this case, as I already knew the teachers, and I enjoyed the face-to-face training so much, I decided to give it a try. And I have to say that I will repeat! There were 6 live sessions, with all the flexibility in terms of schedule to adapt it to the availability of each one. In each session there is a theoretical part and a practical part, with time to resolve doubts and concerns. They care about knowing your experience of the practice and help you to integrate it. All classes are recorded, so you can repeat them!

I have Benefitted Immensely through their ONLINE Kundalini Yoga sept-2022 Certification. Taught By Guru -ARPIT Ji. He is the epitome of kindness and generosity I ever saw in any Yoga Guru/Expert . After years of dreaming of a kundalini yoga teacher training. Should it finally be realized in Oct.2022. And oh what a beautiful experience it was to be able to follow my training at the Sri Yoga Ashram. Didn't regret this choice for a second. I have experienced the family atmosphere in this ashram as very pleasant. The lessons were educational and when we finally left, we had gained a dose of knowledge. Also made friends for life. The yoga, pranyama, Matra knowledge that I now propagate in the Netherlands is partly made possible by the training. Thanks again to Arpit, Gaurav, Ankur , Kartik and Pradeep and all the staff. Note This was my second time visiting India, and I am so glad I didn't listen to all those people who were judging India. Because none of this is based on truth. Of course there are places where it's all overwhelming. But Rishikesch is a quiet town with all amenities. If you have the idea to go... GO and follow the yoga training. It seems more like a promotion for India than for the Yoga Ashram, but it would be a shame if you let yourself be held back from things that are not relevant. Go and experience it for yourself. I had an amazing experience in Sri Yoga ashram. Ashram is located in very beautiful place, surrounded by mountains, you can reach also the banks of Mother Ganges within a 5 minute walk. You can enjoy the view from the rooftop, next to the ashram there is a stream that continuously creates fantastic background music. Teachers are very knowledgeable, they really are specialists in their own fields. And they have very beautiful, heartwarming smiles which can definitely make your day better when you are having another emotional/mental/existential crisis - we all have them here at some point while diving deeper into vast knowledge of Yog :) Rooms are nice and clean, food is fantastic, cook and all the staff members are also fantastic, they will help you as much as they can when and if needed. I can not be grateful enough for everything that I experienced here, for the enormous amount of new knowledge and experiences, for meeting new people, learning together and making a new long lasting friendships. And one more important thing - Rishikesh is not dangerous at all. Maybe you shouldn't walk on the street and eat a banana - then a monkey can attack you, but regarding to people - everyone just want to make pictures with you. No any wrong intentions. Anyways, I am extremely grateful that I had this opportunity to be here. I am sure that I will return one day. Namaste.
