My husband had severe left leg pain. We were not able to understand the problem so approached Hosmat Hospital ,Hennur, Bangalore. We consulted Dr Deepak Sampath who very patiently examined and asked for MRI after careful examination of MRI he referred my husband to doctor SR Patil who is neuro Orthopaedic surgeon. Dr SR Patil is incredible surgeon and he explained everything in very clear manner . He recognised the root cause of the pain and suggested for Lumbar surgery .We were shocked and could not take it .Dr SR Patil understood our feelings and explained all the consequences. However he also asked us to go back and take time to make decision and call him if pain increases. In today's commercial world it was very difficult for us to accept sudden Lumbar surgery .Due to this reason I started looking for more options so my husband can be cured without surgery . I also took opinion from many Neuro Orthopaedic surgeons and got same advice. Dr S R Patil's precise diagnosis , confidence and patience generated trust with in us. He has successfully done the surgery and gave continuous support during recovery. May God bless him and also best wishes for his future. My mother has severe spondylolisthesis with L5 S1 foraminal stenosis. She was finding it difficuilt to walk to bathroom and sit for longer hrs. She was unable to travel any temples becoz of this. With her age and already existing condition it was difficult case of surgery. After consulting many doctors surgery was not an option at all as her spine was curved due to much earlier surgery. Dr S R Patil at our first consultation itself suggested TLIF/PLIF surgery can fix the problem and my mother can live a normal lifestyle. The admission and surgery performed with at-most care and only necessary tests were performed and All Staff were co-operative during fitness tests and during admission and post admission care. Nursing staff were very cooperative and helpful during our stay and consultation. And my mother needed extra care so Dr Patil was very understanding and suggested to stay at hospital for 2 more days so my mother can be managed and cared well. When surgery was performed and my brother and aunt and relatives were surprised to see my mother underwent major surgery and coped with it sucessfully. Recommend Dr SR Patil too for any spine, ortho related issues for expert consultation.

My mother in law was suffering from excruciating spinal pain which restrained her from walking. It was challenging for her to use the washroom also. We met Dr. SR Patil in Hosmat hospital which changed everything for us and her. Dr. Patil suggested us to get a surgery done and explained us in detail what will be the pros and cons as her liver also had issues. He was very convincing. Dr. Patil did an excellent job and came as a life saviour for us. He made the surgery successful in one shot and was able to make her walk as well. But unfortunately she had some post operation complications which included kidney dis function and drastic platelet count reduction. Dr. Patil involved the correct specialist doctors at the correct time, and lead the team which ultimately led to her recovery. He was very patient and he gave us a detailed explanation of every step he took. Was always available for us to support us. He has an incredible contribution towards my mother in law's recovery. He is not only an amazing doctor but also an exceptional human being.

Had an excellent surgery by Dr S R Patil , he was very convincing and explained every aspect of the surgery in detail because spine surgery was very scary initially. My brother got operated in Hosmat Kalyan Nagar. Right crumb the day one when we met Dr. SR Patil, we got the confidence that we are in the right hands. My brother got operated wh care as the L5 S1 issue was long forbidden which resulted into supported tissues that had to be operated well. Extra care to perform this operation took some time however it went well. 5. My brother recovered well on 10th day with the clippings removed. He is walking with confidence. 6. Dad met with an accident. He was suffering from back pain. We googled and find out Hosmat was best option for orthopedic and spine. We visited hosmat and they referred to Dr. S R Patil. The doctor suggested for X Ray he suggested for MRI for further analysis of spine. Then after MRI doctor suggested for Vertebroplasty. I googled but the succes rate of this surgery was very low. But Dr S R Patil was gave assurance like a family member and he gave us full support. He assured the surgery would be success need not worry. I happen to visit Doctor S R Patil Sir with complaint that from past 1 month, I couldn't freely move my left leg and with some severe pain. I was thinking of the Bells Palsy Issue I had in the last 2 years. The experienced Neurosurgeon had other plan. Hi, I was suffering from severe pain in the right side of neck and on the complete right hand and I got to know from my friends about the best Neurosurgeon in Bangalore Dr. S. R. Patil Sir. So, immediately took consultation, got MRI done and diagnosed that my c6-c7 extrusion happened and c5-c6 was bulged. Dr SR Patil sir advised need to go for surgery due to extrusion.
