Segundo Bairro offers authentic Goan food. Located in quiet bylanes of Dona Paula, Carmo the affable host runs this place with personal and excellent service. After trying out Cafreal at a few new places for a change, this place absolutely hit the mark. Chicken was cooked just right and the gravy ticked off the boxes for both taste and consistency. We also tried the special masala lollypops that has a unique flavor. This is not the typical run of the mill, large volumes restaurant, so go in with the right expectation on the time it would take for the order to be served. The end result is totally worth it. I would go back to Segundo Bairro for the food, service and ambience.

Delightful place. The food was excellent. Havent had such authentic Goan food like that in a while. I even ordered some to takeaway. We had pork solantle and beef tongue chilli fry. Main course was simple kingfish curry and rice. Dessert we over indulged with serradura and a chocolate mousse. Simply put.. very tasty. Will definitely return. Thanks to the owner Carmo and the staff for a delightful culinary experience. Word of advice though... even if this place becomes very touristy please dont change the quality of food as it is now. Pure goan food... like my grandma used to make.

It's evident that when one visits a restaurant they look for tasty food and Segundo Bairro Goan Food does just that. Apart from authentic goan food, their service and ambience too is praiseworthy. It is located in a quaint area away from the hustle-bustle.. The owner Carmo is very passionate about giving his customers the best experience. We had beef Chilly and chicken Chilly masala which were tasty non oily and exactly how my Mom cooked at home. For drinks we had Urrack which again was smooth and refreshing with a little limca. All in all it was a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend to my friends.

The place is such a calm relief from the bustling city of Panaji. We had the chance to taste two of their delicacies, Chicken Cafreal burger and Chicken Cutlet Pao. Will definitely visit again to have the Cafreal Burger .

We found this place on google with a high rating and thought we should go explore it. After we got there, we were greeted by Carmo, the owner who was very warm and welcoming. We tried the Pork Assad, on Carmo's recommendation and whoa... it was on point with the taste and texture. Then we tried the chonak fish thali with brown rice. Carmo and his team has taken great pains to keep the Goan fish thali authentic and original to the good old olden days. Taste again, was on point and delicious. The chonak fish fillet was thick and fresh. We left the place with our stomach full and a promise to Carmo that we would be back again soon...

Dear Carmo..you just took our goan visit to next level. Amazing food and the fresh urrak made our day. All the fish items we tried were fresh and with right amount of masala. Pao bread with Beef chilli masala was yumm. Recommended to all food lovers and the service and attention from Carmo is the also a great reason why the food tastes sooo good!! Will definitely be back!!

Amazing food and a great host!. Highly recommend this. The food was delicious, especially the thali(with fish) and special masala chicken lollipop. The feni based cocktails and urak are must try.

Hats off to Carmo and team for setting up this beautiful and reasonably priced Goan food restaurant in Dona Paula. Excellent seafood that's fresh.
