A cozy little place tucked away in a quiet space which can easily be missed.
You're greeted by a warm staff that welcomes you to their restaurant.
The service is on point and the food is really authentic and tasty. The portion sizes are massive too. A very nice non pretentious place if you're craving for some delicious Turkish or Lebanese food!!
We had their golden fried grilled prawns which was amazingly marinated and made of juicy prawns and their veg mezzo platter which was also very nice.
Their saffron ice cream with the hot kunafa and baklava was definitely the highlight!
The owner personally welcomes you at the table. The food is just outstanding and quantities generous. They have been able to replicate The flavours of Persian cuisine perfectly. Ambiance is very homely and inviting. Would recommend the pasha platter and baklava.
Saturday Shenanigans got me ticking one more off the Goee foodie bucket list with my devoted partner in crime
Unplanned last minute trips, especially the food trails, are always the best I tell you!
As someone who has spent a considerable time in the gulf, Arabic cuisine is a favourite. Especially the Lebanese. So a visit to Schandis was very much on the cards.
Kept it simple by ordering the Chicky and Lambo Mezzeh Platter. A generous serving of Lamb Hummus, Chicken Wings, Mirza Ghasemi Kotlets (lamb cutlets), Olivieh Salad, Pickle and naan. My eternal thanks to the maitre'd who suggested the za'tar khaboos (naan) and that for me was the absolute cherry on the cake. Bursting in flavor with sesame and dried parsley, it was a perfect condiment to the platter.
The weather lately has been a bummer, unusually humid and muggy. So I enjoyed this meal with some chilled beer. However, the apt choice would otherwise have been flavored iced teas.
Definitely worth the drive all the way to Dona Paula. Schandis isn't missable! At any cost!
The place is located near Dona Paula.. as you enter the restaurant you get the vibes that it states.. the aesthetics of then place draws you in to vibe with the place..
Moreover theres a resort next to if which often has music and dance ongoing .. so for ppl who enjoy loud music its fun for them.. the food was pretty nice. The
menu is vast and all dishes feature their cuisine.. everything speaks Iranian cuisine.. we tried the veg single dish a d the pasha platter , the bread in the veg platter was superb.. soft and a distinct taste.. the pasha platter on the other hand could have been slightly better as I found the rice and lamb slightly undercooked... but overall the whole platter was visibly and taste wise pretty nice.. so yeah definitely recommend to anyone who wants to try authentic Persian cuisine and is looking for a place to vibe..
Delicious food and great service with some improvement needed on the drinks. We tried the feta shawarma, lamb kebab with naan, saffron pistachio ice-cream, and a signature cocktail. The lamb kebab was the star of the meal - melt in the mouth and extremely flavorful. The feta shawarma was fresh and heartily filled. The signature cocktail lacked a punch. The chilli did its work in the drink eventually but the alcohol was minimal in the drink. For INR 500, the drink was a let down.
Great flavours and taste of Persia. Must try. The lamb kebab and the prawn biryani were top notch. Do have the black rose drink as well. The Shisha was good as well.
Thank you Hossein for the reminisce of Persia. A perfect platter on a rainy day in Goa.
The hummus, kebab platter and baklava are a must try! Going here as a group is the best, it's filling!
Persian food on a platter.
A haven for meat and vegetarian lovers alike. If you want to try an assortment of meats, like mutton, beef, chicken, humus, all cooked Persian style, this is the place for you.
Besides the juicy meats a must try are the variety of hookahs that are served. You sit like an Arab in a cabana style setting or around a table. Also available are Turkish deserts such as backalava.
Located at Miramar, the restaurant is easily accessible with plenty of parking. Located close to the Miramar beach, this place provides the perfect setting for a relaxed and romantic evening.
