Samadhi Yoga Ashram - Yoga studio in Rishikesh - Pauri Garhwal, India

I did my 200h YTTC here in June 2023. All in all, I had a great time at this school and learned a lot about yog. The programme was structured in a sensible way. All the teachers were well trained and did a really good job. The excursions offered by the school were great. As some have reported here before, the school can do better in terms of cleanliness. In some cases, only the walkways were cleaned. Some of the dirt was still in the corners especially in the Nirvana Yoga Hall. In addition, my room (second floor) smelled very musty, which indicates dampness. Unfortunately, regular airing did not help. The food was ok overall, although spices were missing from time to time. I also had the feeling that they cut back on fruit. There was not always enough for everyone (e.g. mangoes). What bothered me most was the construction work on the roof, which continued during the whole time and also during the opening and farewell ceremonies:( In addition, the school did not inform us that there was a large construction on the adjacent property. The month of June was too hot for me (35-40degC). In the end of June the rainy season started and the humidity increased. I can therefore generally recommend doing a YTTC at a different time of year.

Kundalini called me, as well as many others. Choosing a school, I saw the website of the Samadhi Yoga Ashram and a photo of Hari Priya and realized that I needed to go to this place. I had no idea what is Kundalini, and I did not expect the awakening of energy, I just followed my inner voice. I am very pleased with the training and grateful to all the Gurus for the knowledge and invaluable experience gained during the training. I got a lot more than I expected. During the practice, I found answers to my personal questions, as did everyone who was trained. I watched how I changed and how the people around me changed. We have undergone a colossal transformation, we have changed, we have become stronger, more confident, calmer, happier. I am grateful to the universe for this opportunity and wish all the best to the Ashram and all the Gurus. I will definitely return to Rishakesh. Namaste

There are so many great things to say about my experience but I will try to make it short. Initially I planned on a 200 hour Kundalini YTT for the month of September and after week 2, I decided to stay an extra month to finish the 300 hour course. What influenced my decision was not only the amount of knowledge and wisdom I was getting from my teachers, or the magical moments I had in Rishikesh, but also the beautiful staff in the Ashram that made me feel at home. The patience, care and love that I received from each and every one of them made me feel like I was in the right place with the right atmosphere to learn the ancient wisdom of Yoga, the REAL Yoga. It was truly transformative and I am forever grateful for the teachings. In both months I had amazing teachers who took their time to share their wisdom and knowledge. Now for future students. Please remember why you want to learn and practice yoga. One of the things I learned in philosophy class is the meaning of Yoga according Patanjali which is beautifully explained in Sutra #2.. "Yoga is the control of mind modification" Remember that you get back what you put out and if you come with an open mind and a heart full of love, your experience will be magical. If you come with a mind full of expectations and judgement of the world, you will surely be disappointed. Remember that your reaction to the outside world is a full reflection of your inner world. Expectations ONLY lead to disappointments and leaving those behind will open up space for magic. Good luck and congratulations on taking the step to learn the beautiful practice of yoga. I have just completed by YTT200 training here. I will definitely miss here so much and in fact I don't want to leave and go back to my home country... It is my first time to India and I am coming here alone. There isn't any other student of the same nationality as me, but we are close friends now. I am glad that this yoga school is situated on this side of the river bank where it is more tranquil and suitable for study than the touristy centre on the opposite side. Food at ashram is so homey and in appropriate level of taste (not heavy like outside's and not bland), because the kitchen also cooks for the Guru's family who also lives here. With family members around, it feels not like a conventional/ business-driven school but experiencing local culture. Classes are well-organised and we learnt so much within a short span of time. It is out of my expectation that how focused we could learn yoga in such a way. Teachers speak good english and are serious in tackling our problems and make us improved quickly. Excursions offered by the school are fun and safe too (although we don't have much day off given the tight schedule of an intensive course). I would definitely love to visit India again, and if I do, I must come back and visit the school and the Guru's family. It can be said as my second home. I had such an amazing mind-changing journey and found my inner peace together with teaching techniques that I would definitely polish further in my yogi journey.

Highly recommend the programs offered at Samadhi Yoga Ashram! Guru Vishnu, Hari Priya, and the Himalayan masters have so much knowledge to share, and I received much more than expected from the program. Truly appreciate how much dedication and care they put into the teachings and practices. Come with an open heart and I don't think you will be disappointed! If Dr. Siddah is available, I also recommend attending his sound healing trainings or offerings. An incredible opportunity if you have the chance to learn from him. Namaste <3

If you are looking to go deeper into your own practice, come to Samadhi Ashram. If you are looking to learn how to teach by teaching yourself first, come to Samadhi Ashram. This was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Thank you infinitely to Guru Vishnu, Maa Haripriya, and all of the incredible teachers in all of the subjects. I had an amazing experience in SYA! The stuff became my family during my stay and I learn so much from them. Yogi Vishnu Panigrahi is such a beautiful being and so genuine! By spontaneity I met him and he brought me to this beautiful place! Which was on of my greatest experience here in Rishikesh! The teachers are dedicated and the food during my stay was marvellous! p.s they have hot water to shower with and all is super clean! Thank you! SYA for this time! Until next time! Namaste.

I loved every bit of it... a wonderful place to be in with convivial, experienced faculty members and prompt staff. Immense learnings in such a short span.
