My trip to Ladakh was a long awaited one. And Bollywood movies only added fuel to the fire (enchanting scenes from 3 Idiots and Jab Tak Hai Jaan). So in the first week of October, I finally got the opportunity to travel to Ladakh - a trip that has given me memories worth a lifetime, a trip that has permanently inscribed startling sights of this enchanting place in my mind! I must say that even the road leading to Ladakh has its own appeal. When you're about to reach Ladakh, the very first glimpse of this snow laden heaven brings a twinkle to your eyes! Just imagine looking down on a silent, placid, greenish blue lake - beautiful, isn't it? Or imagine the sight of magnificent mountains greeting you - that was a welcome I can never forget. There's nothing more enchanting than nature's handiwork in Ladakh... And then as you enter Leh, the characteristic mountains (yes, the ones which our televisions have made very popular) greet you with their silent white faces. Our small family, me, my husband and my 5 yrs. son , went for 17 days Kashmir trip in October 2017. My husband had a lot of conversations with Mr Tapan Mukherjee before visiting Sreenagar. After reaching sreenagar, we had a warm welcome by Mr. Tapan Mukherjee & Mr. Zulfikar Ali. We felt honored. They themselves were very much co-operative. Initially we had some issue regarding the driver, then it was handled by Mr.Z. Ali. Henceforth, we had a great Kashmir trip. We missed some places like, Aharbal Falls, Bherinag, Shimthan top due to the non co-operation of the driver, which was quiet annoying. But the Gurez trip was the best part during the Kashmir trip. Mr.Tapan Mukherjee & Mr Zulfikar Ali accompanied us, they actually became TAPANDA & ZULFI BHAI during the trip. The night stay and Specially the dinner was awesome. The dinner was prepared by Zulfi Bhai himself. During this tenure my son became "Ei chhele" to Zulfibhai. From this anyone can assume the hospitality offered by Zulfibhai and Tapanda of Right wings. We will be planning our Ladakh trip and Amarnath Yatra with them only.
