Not a place to rate really but for the crowd that they were handling, was pretty swift to process stuff. They can chose to develop the port better though for separate luggage collection and better flooring for tourists to carry their baggage. Better managed embarking and disembarking too.
The harbour is the biggest harbour of the islands. It manages both goods and transport. Most of commodities coming from mainland lands here. This harbour provides departure and arrival of ships for the general public to nearby islands and to mainland. There are scheduled ships from the harbour to many places. The harbour is well connected to other parts of the city. Easily accessible by public transport and other small boats.
A pretty basic harbour with no separate section for luggage check in. Passengers have to carry the luggage to the ferry thenselves. After reaching the destination, they unload the luggage right beside the ferry so people can take it.
There is no wheelchair assistance available. But the ferries are pretty close to the waiting area.
Pro tip - try to hand over the luggage in the end so that you are the first one to get it when you reach the destination. In this way you can avoid standing in direct sunlight.
Do not take the makruz it's really boring. It will take you fast but your not allowed to go which is the major attraction to the trip and it's very pricy instead you can take the green ocean they will let you go out and they have party and play music in the terrace
Reached in time to board the cruise and officials followed strict travel protocols to ensure proper boarding of passengers
The ferry service was excellent. It was such a good experience over water. The only thing is everyone live to travel in open, whereas this one was closed. It is understood it was due to security reasons whereas roof can be opened with more security reasons.
Went to Havelock Island from here. Amazing travel experience we had with Makruzz!
