My brother was admitted in Pathway Hospital for his double Hernia surgery.I would recommend Pathway Hospital to all. I was impressed by the friendly staff ,neat and clean atmosphere and extremely caring nursing staff. Special mention to Dr Sunil ,who was very kind and patiently explained the procedure to us, supporting the patient before and after the surgery. We were very comfortable and not stressed during the surgery as the doctor, the nurses and the staff kept special care of the patient. I want to thank Dr Abhijeet Banerjee and Mr Ranjit for their concern and support. Keep up the good work Pathway Hospital team.
Nasaeulla the staff nurse is very caring and cheerful and always helpful when a patient comes. When I took my mother he took her care very well and In ICU all the staff are excellent and ver cooperative. Doctors are very friendly and explain everything patiently to the relatives and everyone take care of patient . Canal was inserted in first attempt by Nasuerulla which was a happy situation for my mother. Normally most of the people find it difficult to find vain in my mother's hand. Overall I rate all the nurse doctor and others very highly
Please don't trip on your decisions by getting admitted here. Essential and life saving response is not reliable. They create false conditions and put attenders into vulnerable situations. Worst service by doctors and management however the bills are skyrocketed which is no less than a 5 star hospital. No sanitation and maintenance is extremely poor. Please don't put yourselves into harm. Be aware.
Amazing hospital , great staff and excellent doctors , I was worried when I admitted my relatives here but the emergency team lead by Dr avijit and Dr Avanish treated well, explained better then in the ICU Dr Vijay and Dr Mahesh were very helpful. They explained and treated with utmost care. Charges are a little high but their service was excellent so no complaints. I saved my family and that was more than enough. They even dropped us home with free ambulance service, provided nursing care at home for 3 days after discharge all free of cost. Most hospitals don't take care after discharge. Pathway has homecare and provides support to sick patients even after discharge. Excellent and keep up the good work
A neat maintained hospital nearby to house. Have visited many times. They have basic testing facility any advance testing is arranged by them in a nearby bigger facilities. It was okay till now but recently when we visited we found the service is becoming good to worst. They have started charging unreasonable prices especially for consumables. An adult diaper is charged 3times its actually cost, its more than what a premium hospital in Bangalore with all facilities in house and multiple discipline doctors charges. The product given to patients is X cost but billing is done for a similar product Y of 3X cost. They have charged airbed for less than 24hrs in IcU , when we asked for it to give it they say its just for air filling. Even oxygen, and all other consumables are changed almost double to other better facilities hospital . All these are not claimable in insurance also, they don't have cashless facility for most government approved insurances used in corporate sector. The doctors here are mostly consultant and come only on appointment. So if u are looking for better treatment avoid this if u go there will end up unnecessarily paying high costs for very basic treatment
TLDR: Avoid this hospital for blood tests unless you have no other option. If you do visit, insist on generating the bill first before getting the tests done and don't forget to check if the attending nurse is an experienced one. Long version: First visit (Oct 30 2023), the nurse who attended my mother pricked her three times but failed to draw blood. When she asked him why he was doing this, he said he was new and would bring an experienced nurse. I did not raise any complaints at the time Second visit(Nov 5 2023), I took my father for blood tests and spoke with the receptionist to explain our previous experience and asked her to ensure that there was an experienced nurse available. She promised that there would be. My father went inside to get his tests done and a few minutes later, a nurse called me in saying the doctor needed to speak to me. The doctor started asking my father about his health history, which confused me because we had only come for blood tests and had not asked for a consultation. I realized that the hospital does blood tests in the emergency room, and the doctor who spoke to me was the on-call ER doctor. I thought she was just curious about my father's condition, but a few minutes later, my father came out and the receptionist called me to pay the bill. To my shock, the bill was more than twice what I expected. I looked at the bill and noticed that three additional tests had been done, which we had never asked for. I just paid the bill as I thought my father knew about additional tests. Later when I confronted the receptionist, she said that the doctor/nurse had added the tests to the bill and that she had assumed that we had asked for them. She then took me to the ER to clarify with the doctor, but the doctor blamed me for asking for the tests, which I never did. After I denied her claim, she blamed the receptionist for saying that we just wanted "blood tests" done and failing to specify which tests. I called back the receptionist to clarify, and she said that I had clearly told her which tests we needed and that she had clearly conveyed the same to the doctor and nurse in the ER. Then the doctor started blaming the nurse, saying that she was clueless about which tests needed to be done and that she had ordered the additional tests. She then said that it was all due to communication issues. When I wasn't convinced and refused to accept her reasoning, she bluntly asked if I wanted her to cancel the tests from the bill and if I needed a refund. They had taken a lot of blood from my father for the tests, and she just wanted to throw it all away. My point was never to get money back from the hospital. This was the most egotistical and arrogant doctor I have ever met. She kept blaming everyone else for the situation and never bothered to accept her own mistakes or apologize. The receptionist, on the other hand, accepted the hospital's mistakes and apologized for the bad experience we had. When we were about to leave, a gentleman followed us and took information about our first visit so that he could look into it. I feel that the whole process and setup is flawed. I have the following questions/suggestions for the management: Why is the billing not done as soon as we visit the hospital requesting blood tests, but instead we are asked to get the tests done first and the billing is done later? If this was followed, the whole incident could have been avoided. Why are blood tests done in an emergency room? Why isn't there a separate room or section for this purpose? Why does the emergency doctor attend to or interfere with patients who have come purely for tests and have not asked for any kind of consultation with any doctors? When new tests are done for a patient, why is the patient or their attendant not informed? At the very least, a doctor, nurse, or receptionist should inform the patient that additional tests are being done and get their consent. I hope this review is helpful to others and that the hospital takes action to improve its processes and provide better patient care.
