OYO 5975 Hotel SKS Goldmine - Hotel in Port Blair - South Andamans, India

The hotel is quite a decent property and has a very welcoming nature for their guest. The hotel is very near to the airport and have 9 Room for accomodation, out of which 1 room is a club room and the rest are executive rooms which are fairly furnished with all modern amenities. What was a drawback to the Hotel is that they are still to come up with their own restaurant, as per my conversation with Mr. Arun (Manager) the facility is almost ready and will be opened shortly. considering all the place is good for stay to guest looking for a good standard property.

Terrible experience. Small dingy rooms in the basement. You can barely walk about in the cramped room the size of a bathroom No restaurant. The complimentary breakfast was packed in polythene packets and delivered in the room. You have to eat off the packets sitting in the bed since there isn't any room to put in chairs The only positive is that is is walking distance from the airport Even if you just have a transit halt at Port Blair, avoid this dump. It lacks the basic amenities that go into making a hotel.

Good hotel. Just 600 M from Airport. Had nice time. Break fast needs improvement.(Once restaurant comes up this may be resolved) Hotel staff (Mr. Dinesh) and owner Mr Selvam were co-operative and helpful. Thanks SKS.

Weird staff. They would straight away enter into the room when we opened the door at their bell. This is regarding the complementary breakfast that we had with our goibibo booking, firstly - this hotel doesn't have a kitchen, they would order from other restaurants. We were asked to pay their commuting expenses and things got heated up when we told them we shouldn't be expected to pay it! Next they terminated our WiFi access after this incident. The place is clean and maintained but, I would recommend it to anyone because of the staff's behavior! Also I do not know if all this happened as it was just two girls in a room or they're usually this ill mannered

Classy room service Nice bathrooms (geysers with thermostat, little unlikely ) LCD with Hollywood movie channels+axn,z cafe+star world etc. Very pleasing room service Slower wi-fi(50 kbps tops) but satisfactory 5*6 feet bed size, small but enough for two Complimentary breakfast (quite common) Very close to airport ... List goes on Will try and keep updating

Not many rooms but all of them have a/c. It is close to the airport. WiFi strength is low. Smells a bit damp at times. Food is not available.

Overall good experience. Stayed for 5 days, service was good with all facilities such as complimentary breakfast, wifi etc. Room was spacious and well maintained with AC, geyser.

Small rooms, few room are in underground floor, no proper facilities, furniture are broken, no proper power back up, no hot water facilities, staircase are in even you could have a fall from it. Rates are very high.. They could not arrange 2 or 4 wheeler also.. No safety for rooms .. In short do not try this by looking in to the picture posted in google or other booking websites.
