It is a very neat and clean place and very much organised. Though you have to take coupons as there is always a wait but how they manage sitting is nice. Food is good if you have taste for dosa and rice items. Overall a place you can visit once for an experience.

The OG MTR. Food was good, sometimes felt overhyped. Prices are soaring high due to the fame. Old place which is renovated by decently maintained. Service speed could be faster. We had to wait half an hour on a weekday afternoon to get the dosas. Generally service is very slow even for a coffee too. Can be managed efficiently. Coffee/tea are served in silver glass which is a rich feeling.

Ah well. This might have divided opinions, but it's a hyped up place. Period. Your opinion on this matters for you, not me. Cozy atmosphere because people rush to this place with their dear ones. Service is pretty quick considering the amount of food and people present at any given time. Food. Good, at best. Tried their famous rava idli. Good. Nothing extraordinary. Have been to other places where they serve better while maintaining the quality. And, cheaper. Vada(vade, however you might call it), average. Again. Same as above. Masala dosa, just about good. But maintains its crispness for a very long time. Coffee - very good. Quite watery though, at least they're using real coffee. Accompaniments - Bombay sagu - know why it isn't very good? For my taste, it's slightly sweet. Otherwise, good enough for many. Sambar - very average. Quite sweet because of jaggery. Wouldn't even take it next time. Chutney - average. Every dish is served with about a spoon of ghee. Well, if you add ghee to something that can be added to, it will amp up the taste. Good for health though, in limited amount. I appreciate them keeping up their traditions, but the taste and price you're paying, is simply not worth it. You'll end up paying at least Rs200 for breakfast per person as of September 2023 for average food just to hold up traditions. This place is thriving on emotions and not taste. Just like the rest of India. Now, it's just another place to scam people into emotions and charge them for it and people are running there like idiots. Your wish to visit. Not worth the money paid from my end. Happy eating.

Ambience can be better, Food wasn't great. It was disappointing to have a Bisebele bath loaded mostly with unveined beans, the set Dosa was good, served with a chutney and a not so good veg stew. Dahi vada looked like a broken vada, served carelessly, poured dahi and strewn some boondi in a hurry. Every dish was much better in MTR J P Nagar. Come on man, just because crowd pours in, don't ignore the ambience, tie up the jute mats straight, cover the unused AC and the poorly managed shelves. We literally had to ask the server for paper napkins, and he was saving his master's penny by putting just few napkins each time. A bunch of youngsters wanted to have food sitting together, no. This hotel is not good for it. They didn't allow them to join two tables, again, the server was following some rules . To keep up your acclaimed reputation, replace the mean minded thoughts and people.

Vibe is soo great!! Authentic tiffin room. Taste is top notch. It might feel overwhelming while they serve, it's too much but manageable. Final desert is not that great, the custard one. It can be replaced by better option. Everything else is best

This place carries it's legacy of taste and cuisine. You get ample amount of variety in meals and there are lot of dishes served in a meal. The best place to have your authentic veg meals. Saw lot of foreign delegates coming over to try this place. Definitely recommended.

The legacy... even decades after, this place is an emotion. It always feels wonderful to be here to savor their authentic food and enjoy the vibes. Though there are many branches of MTR opened, no other place can give the vibes this place does. Hours long queue surely doesn't matter if you are an MTR lover. The prices have skyrocketed! But the taste always remains the same.

The MTR experience was absolutely joyful ! We tried all the recommended items- Masala dosa, Rava masala dosa, and Rava idly. All the items tasted heavenly. The place is now almost 100 years old and also has some photographs from olden times. A must visit once in Bangalore
