Mamagoto X Lucky Cat Bar Pan-Asian restaurant

An honest review, the ambience was beautiful and had a Korean fusion Goth vibe to it. The service was very good as well. Coming to the food the sushi didn't taste fresh and the rice wasn't cooked properly, the tempura prawn batter wasn't crispy enough and tasted doughy, but the Truffle Oil mushroom was very good and the crunch was very satisfying as well, the desert we had was also very good. I had camomile tea which I enjoyed very much as well. But the part which I am still confused about is that after leaving the restaurant I felt an instant urge to puke and did so, now I am not sure if it was because of the food or some other problem but that kinda threw me off and made me doubt the freshness of the sushi. Overall I feel they can do better, the sushi preparation needs an upgrade as there are other restaurants in Goa which serve similar cuisines, and where the taste has been very fresh and light. I personally wouldn't visit again.

I came here to celebrate my birthday, and so glad I did. I love that they have vegan friendly options on the menu. I had the teriyaki tofu skews, the corn fritters, and I couldn't have more as the servings are good portions. They also have us rice wafers with some interesting sauce dips... yum. My 6 year old announced it was my birthday and the staff on their own brought a slice of cake and sang for me. amazing ambience, we loved the modern Chinese decor and the knowledgeable friendly staff. Gotta go for sure next time for main course!

Growing up, I loved the song Big In Japan by Alphaville.. Years later I sang it while enjoying my food trail through the streets of Osaka and Kyoto And then there was last week - visiting Mamagoto here in Panjim, reminiscing it once again while I savoured some amazing food! So the occasion was boss' birthday lunch treat. (And I'm so glad he's equally a foodie hehehe).I'll cut to the chase people. This is THE best place when it comes to Pan Asian cuisine here in Goa. The ambience is very retro Japanese. If you've ever read or watched Memoirs of A Geisha, then trust me when I say that the set up of the place, with the paintings and decor, transports you to Kyoto in the 1940s in a way. The menu boasts not just of sushi and dimsums but also some fantastic streetfoof flavors from across Hongkong, Penang, Singapore and Bali. We started with Steamed Chicken Wontons, Salmon Teriyaki Uramaki and Beef Bulgogi. These quite set the mood and tone of the day. For mains, we opted for their signature bowls mainly Mamagoto Goreng (superb Indonesia style Nasi Goreng served with chicken satay skewers with peanut sauce and a sunny side up) and Stir Fried Udon Noodles with Shrimp (in delicious chilli hoisin sauce) Needless to say the shrimp crackers served at the start and also as dressing on the signature bowl was delightful too. Since we had a cake on hand, we didn't dig into the desserts on the menu. But that only gives me a reason to go back I for one enjoyed every bit and bite of my experience here at Mamagoto. Highly recommend a visit. You'll love it as well

This is a Pan Asian restaurant. Food - it was great. We had Lotus stem, Bangkok rice bowl, pan cake with ice cream. All the items were as delicious as it could be. Ambience - It's very good, decorated with paintings, colorful paint, etc. Service - staff was very nice, very helpful in deciding what to have for lunch. It was quick.

If you are looking to have something asian in Panjim, this is the place for you. Ambience was good. Food was tasty, we ordered Bhupi's Soup veg and it was different from general soups that we order and good. I would recommend trying it. We ordered pan friend bao and spicy bangkok bowl with sticky rice, both were great in taste. Mr. Hemant was very attentive and explained all the sauces that came with what we ordered. Overall I would recommend this place.

Really impressed and we would return. Food was fresh and flavours considered. Service was fast and friendly. Great value all you can eat set menu at 750r. Lovely prawn sushi, tuna sushi felt like it could be fresher. Chinese soup, lotus stem, chicken/pork basil cup (Thai laab), Hakka noodles and chilli chicken were all really tasty. Thai green chicken was way too creamy and sweet (more like massaman), no Thai eggplant and many spices within curry paste weren't detectable. Desserts were really good.

I happened to eat a few of their a'la carte dishes like the Ebi Tempura Sushi Roll, Rainbow Maki Roll and much more! Personally feel this place is really good even to take your family too - as they have a wide range of options in rice / noodles and other large plates. Coming to service, the in-house team was really sweet, they attended to every small detail of the meal I was served, however their current social media manager sounds very arrogant. But nonetheless, I will definitely visit their outlet again. The food was FAB - it may be a little pricey but for the quality it was damn good! A special appreciation for the sweetest host outside, Ankita - she made us a small handwritten card which was the sweetest gesture, and she was really warm and welcoming!

Loved the food, ambience and service! The place is pretty and is very welcoming and the waitress is very sweet! Would highly recommend this place for panasian food! Loved the dumpling platter, the soft shell crabs, ebi tempura Sushi, chicken Paad Thai, lamb crispy and chicken gyoza and the chocolate cake and vanilla Sponge cake with ice cream aswell.
