Good picnic spot with pindis & water facility available. Big parking space and a beautiful park is there near the parking area. Darshan of Maa Barunei & Karunei is just so blissful with a ride of few hundred stairs. Enduri pitha bhog available in morning (5rs a piece) & Khiri bhog is available in evening. Temple & stairs need some renovation. Overall a peaceful area for hangout.

A famous temple on the slope of Barunei hill. It has government guest house and mandap for marriage and other functions. The surrounding is not maintained properly. To reach the top of hill the path is a real challenge. A lot of greeneries and monkeys will welcome the visitors.

Maa barunei temple is a Hindu Religion temple. It is saty in barunei hill. Barunei hill is a small hill in khorda district. if you want to visit temple then Approximately 200 steps has to be crossed. Spring water flows down from the hill all year round. A cave is located on the hill. A reservoir called Sitakunda is located on top of the hill. A popular tourist place in khorda District. Currently Orissa government has made it very beautiful. Anyone can visit here with friends or family. Indian soldiers have a training camp here every year for several days. It is just 600 meters from the state highway. A fair is held here for three days during Rajo Sankranti. A large number of people visit this temple throughout the year. From December to February there are feasts to mark the new year. Rooms are available for rent here for marriage ceremonies. Odisha government has set up a police outpost here to ensure that no one gets into trouble.
