One of the best homestay I visit.. Middle of nature.. Really It was an wonderful visit.. With family n frnds we enjoyed a lot and the caretakers were so helpful n kind. Helped us in all possible ways. Provided clean n hygienic rooms n washrooms hot drinking water wd electric kettle facility, hot water for shower n hot water beg in case required.. Also the wifi speed was awesome.. N special thnx to Mr. Lan the owner.. Although he don't stay in the property but he was always helpful whenever we needed him.. A true gentlemen.. Gonna visit this place again.. Really this homestay made our vacation a wonderful memory.... Thankyou for everything....

We booked this place to stay for one night. We had young kids with us. Ordeal started as soon as we reached the place at night. Staff had no clue of the booking. Owner was not at the site. We had to wait in the car outside the premises, in the cold with young children, till we could reach the owner on phone and share payment receipt, WhatsApp chats etc. to prove we indeed had the booking. Once we entered, we found that there was no proper arrangement made for heat in the rooms. Downstairs room had a heater that hardly worked. Upstairs rooms had no heater. They gave us hot water bag on request, which cooled down in few hours. I woke up at 3 am due to cold draft coming from the window panes and a very very cold room. Downstairs room had a very bad stench. Geyser didnt work properly so had to use cold water in the shower. Upstairs rooms were interconnected in a way that you have to pass through one room to reach another. If you are looking for privacy, watch out for this arrangement. We had conveyed we will need breakfast before leaving, as we had to catch a flight. Breakfast was a joke. Bread toast and tea. Despite all the troubles, no apology from the staff or owner. They really dont care. Stay away!!

I was trying to book the place for the upcoming new year for 10 people. We repeatedly were trying to connect with him but got zero response from Mr Ian's side. Very loose attitude. After getting frustrated from his behaviour one of my friend messaged him to let him know how disappointed he was with the owners attitude to which the owner replied " book another place if you want " and other stuffs. If the owner reads this than i just want to say that you will reach nowhere with such an attitude and i hope very less people stay at your place. Anyways i read reviews of him being a fraud or something. I am not shocked by seeing this. A person like Ian can maybe do this as well. I'll make sure all the people i know never books your pathetic place

Good - The boys (Meban & his brothers) help out as much as they can. Meban provided us with hot water bags which were much required in 6 degrees. It's in a serene location and food arranged from nearby restaurant was warm and nice. It's always preferable to stay at the main building as that has access to kitchen and the accompanying dining room. Bad - We were housed in the annexed building (I'll get to the reason why) where the following items weren't working - electric blanket, electric hot water bag & heater. Ugly - called and booked a double bedded room in the main building on 1st Nov, confirmed by Ian. Reached on spot to only realise that I'm being given a double bedded room in the Annex building. Apparently the main building was given off to an entire group and my reasoning that I was promised by Ian didn't seem to make sense to the help there as they will do as told by Ian. Lessons learnt - 1.Though it's a nice place to stay but only if you get in the mail building 2. Ian is a money hungry dishonest owner 3. Trust the people who have previously reviewed about an accommodation

We have stayed in this property during May 2022. Honestly, there is no reason for you to stay here because there is nothing unique in this locality. Rather you will have more expenses in travelling. Common sitting area is good, but not all the bedrooms have attached bath and only two rooms are good overall ( before reaching the place, you will never be sure which one you will get). You may have to deal with lot of insects coming inside the room. You have to depend on two nearby restaurants to order foods. If you like less crowded place, better pick a place near Shillong, but slightly far from crowded city center.

I am editing my review today, as i am back home from my week long Meghalaya visit and if Google allowed me to give 10 Star, i will happily give for this Homestay, Loved it, very well appointed Homestay, owner having a very strong understanding of what guest may need, very polite and friendly staff, if you are a peace lover and like to be in a privacy of your own, this place is for you, 4 well appointed rooms, spacious living room and Fully equipped Kitchen and Dinning space, till now only 1 room having private bathroom inside the room is available, and there are 2 more bathrooms available for the guest but they are not inside the rooms, so these Bathrooms need to be shred by occupants of all other 3 rooms, if you stay there as a family unit than no problem to share the bathroom. Homestay is situated in Upper Shillong area in a peaceful and very tranquil suburb, staff can cook for you on request, otherwise within 1 K.M some good eating places to to enjoy your meals, ask Ian, the owner for suggestions, I being a Homestay owner myself i really appreciate how beautifully and tastefully this place is decorated. Worst experience ever, first of all the owners behaviour Mr. Ian is very bad, we have booked 5 rooms for 15 peoples, but the owner didn't gave me 3 rooms after we threatened him to lodge police complaint. The hotel rooms and garden photos are totally different from the photos given. Overall I won't suggest that this is a place to be as the owner is not a good person.

I stayed here for 2 days, no doubt the property is nice but the owner is very rude and non supportive his hospitality was really worse. They also have some hidden costs like if you cook in their kitchen they charge you 500, to clean up utensils they charge you 150. They will not allow you to use other amenities like toaster or microwave by saying that the electricity power is low. The menu is quite expensive also. Once again i would like to mention that all things can be ignored if the owner is supportive.
