KUNDEN VILLAGE RESORT AND SPA - Resort hotel in Gangtok - East District, India

We stayed for total of 3 days in 2 legs (2+1) Good: -The staff is very good, friendly and helpful. -We were specific about food, and the chef cooked delicious food as per our requirements, and breakfast also was delicious on all the days. -They kindly arranged an early packed breakfast as we had to checkout early. -Rooms are above average to good and the one facing the valley is better and has a better view. Not so good: -Location is very interior in the valley, and is more suitable if travelling by personal vehicles as taxis are limited and costs ~Rs400 one way to MG Marg. Its too steep to walk and the maps are misleading. -Wifi and TV were not working even though it was a deluxe property, and we were told it was a technical issue. Hot water kettle was also not present in the room(even though it had cofee and tea pouches) and the phone was not working. There was no effort from the hotel to address these issues. I would have appreciated if the hotel would have made an effort to compensate for the lack of above for customer satisfaction -Also, need to add that during the 2nd leg of our stay for 1N, we stayed in a different room, and wifi, tv, etc were working -The charges for food was on the higher side IMO Rs300-400 per serving(veg). Bottomline: It is a good place to stay, if in personal vehicles. I hope the issues we faced were temporary. The hotel management needs to make a proactive effort to keep guests happy for lack of services.

I took their package for 7 days which included Darjeeling and North Sikkim. We were three persons and paid 1000 per person per night which is very reasonable as it includes breakfast and dinner. For car we took reserve car which cost us 5000 per day. The staff, management were all very good. In many hotels they will charge upfront but the owner didn't charge any money for us. They gave service first and then we paid all the money. He just charged us advance 1000 for booking. The food they gave was also very good, rooms were awesome and very clean. If I have to nitpick then I will just say the location is a bit inside but then also taxis were available all the time as the staff will provide them, it's just that there will be a minor fuss if you are planning for share taxi. If you ignore this minor point I would recommend this hotel and it's package for everyone. Truly an awesome experience

Very nice place, fantastic service even though they were short staffed, special thanks to Nima for his warm and prompt service making the guest feel at home, and the cook Sanjay Uraw, for his delicious food (especially his spicy, tangy lollipops), both of them made the stay special. One star is reserved because the location is in the middle of nowhere, not close to any bazaars or restaurants, and costs 400 to go there from MG road.

I am from Bhagalpur Bihar. I was in this resort on 9th June with my family. Wonderful resort in Gangtok Well maintained, nice food and nice hospitality My suggestion , once to visit in this resort

Had a wonderful time and stay at this beautiful place. Food was good. Behaviour of the staff was at top notch. Beautiful rooms with all the amenities. Wonderful lawn. Will visit again if I'm in Gangtok no doubt on that. To the viewers: You really need to stay here if you do not want the crowd, you will find peace here.

Kunden Village Resort & Spa is a new property situated near the Assembly of Sikkim that comes with lush greenery and a scenic view of the mighty Himalayas. The resort has amenities available and rooms are spacious. Moreover, the staffs are really helpful and cordial. Food is homemade and mouth-watering. A must-visit the property if one loves lush greenery and a quiet environment. Giving it 5 stars for its overall hospitality. Kudos team Kunden village resort. Cheers

The day we checked in the hotel there were a private alcoholic party of some marketing company going on in the resturant. How come they arranged such a party in the common space. More over when we went for the dinner they said all food finished (buffet).After shouting at them they arranged some food which was not sufficient for all of our five families with kids. Rooms were ok, with dirt pillow covers, bathroom drains were choked water over flowing. Also the day we were checking in the hotel I called up on my way to hotel for ordering launch but they refused to provide us launch. The Manegement was incompetent and the service was very poor.

Best part of this resort is the location. Ofcourse the service is also good. But the food is little expensive but worth.
