Koi Pukur - Pond in Howrah - Howrah, India

Its a big pond,famous for "Saraswati Puja" . There is a vital road beside the pond, which is one of the main connector road to Mandirtala with Central Howrah.

Mainly residential area. Market, Physician, Medical Stores, Cyber Cafe, Gym, Childrens park, play ground are situated nearby. Communication to Kolkata city is available as the city is just 30 minute away. A well maintained modernized swimming pool is the latest inclusion. The main administrative building of State Govt. is just 1.5 km away from Koi Pukur

A huge Pond in the middle of residential area..Relief to the locality with soothing green water, cold wind & some birds swimming,bathing in water.. Local people gets a chance for fishing & swimming in lazy afternoon.. But unfortunately people makes it Dirty by throwing garbage in it..Local People as well as Govt. should take some initiatives to keep it clean..

It is one of the few remaining water bodies still exists in the dense Shibpur locality. Continuous efforts are on to grab some parts of the pond. Pollution through plastic and waste flowers are another menace.

The water body is well maintained, however the road conditions around are pathetic.

Nothing to say about it....it's a road man!!...nice pond beside...good....

Its a huge pond a 10mins way from Mandirtala bus stoppage. Durga Pujo happens near this place & it is densely populated. Also has a swimming pool nearby but currently closed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
