Biriyani with artificial scent, one of the worst Biriyani I ever had.
Below average Paneer Lahori and Matton Karachi.
Slow service and bad attitude of the waiter.

The Afghani kebabs were a delightful surprise. Each bite was a burst of smoky, tender, and perfectly seasoned meat.
The biryani was equally outstanding. Fragrant, aromatic, and bursting with flavor, it was a feast for the senses.
If you're looking for an authentic taste of kebabs and biryani, Kareem's is the place to be.
Visited the place during Maha Saptami night. It was already past midnight. However, we got our table after waiting for only 10-15 minutes.
At Kareem's Park Street, we ordered the following items:
- Chicken malai kebabs
- Tandoori roti
- Chicken Lahori
- Mutton dum biryani
The chicken malai kebabs were simply delicious. The chicken was soft, tender, and cheesy.
I was disappointed with the tandoori rotis. They were crispy and didn't taste good. Chicken Lahori was also okayish.
The mutton biryani was again great. One portion of the biryani had an egg, one whole potato, two pieces of meat, and a good amount of rice. Loved the biryani.
Apart from the tandoori roti, there was nothing much to complain about. Also, it was during Durga Puja, so I could cut them some slack.
The ambience was wonderful and the staff were very courteous and helpful.
Over Hyped!!!
Paid 425/- for a plate of chicken biryani on a non festive day tasted so waste of money.
The biryani was neither cooked in ghee nor refined oil, instead they used "DALDA".
Please avoid this restaurant as it has lost it's quality. Not sure if this was specific to this location, but a TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY.
You may prefer local street biryani worth 100-150rs instead of having this.
Mineral Water - 110
Salad -125
Not worth at all
Service is pleasant.
Serving time is quick.
Starters are to die for. Just love them.
Malai phirni was so damn creamy. Mutton Nalli can be cooked a bit more.
Overall a very nice experience.
Service is good.
The food is the best. Spending money is worth it.
We had vegetarian food it was also too good. I just loved the food. Also the quantity is also amazing.
I would suggest visiting here for sure.
Undoubtedly the place is good, especially at the heart of Kolkata city. I really liked the ambiance, filled with mirrors which is unique. I have visited many restaurants but I was really surprised to see the simple yet unique piece of work they made. One thing to note is that it is Kareem's not Karim's (Delhi - Jama Masjid). They do not have any connection with Karim's (Delhi - Jama Masjid), the same also mentioned on their menu.
Let me quickly go through what Karim's is so that everyone can relate. Karim's Hotel or Karim's is a historic restaurant located near Jama Masjid, Gali Kababian, Old Delhi, Delhi, India. Established in 1913, the restaurant has been described as "synonymous with this area" (Old Delhi) and "arguably the city's most famous culinary destination". Outside Delhi the first restaurant from Karim's came up in Kolkata, with the city now hosting three restaurants of the same.
That's being said, it is worth mentioning that Kareem's do not have good packaging systems if something big such as "Kareem's Special Raan Biriyani". One plate of this special biriyani costs around 2300 INR yet the packaging they provide is not good enough to bring back to home. It would be appreciated if they improve their packaging for big plates so that food can be brought back home without any hassle. If someone is stuck at the same position, unable to handle the parcel then they can use Swiggy home delivery service.
