India Restaurant - Mughlai restaurant in Kolkata - Kolkata, India

In this Puja we went there to have our dinner. We ordered Mutton Biryani and Mutton Galauti Kabab. The prices were decent according to the atmosphere and service. Now let me come to the taste of the food. I would say the biriyani is one of the best biriyani of Kolkata, the piece of mutton was really soft. On the other hand there was a complimentary Paratha with Galauti Kabab, and it was too delicious. I'll definitely recommend everyone to go there and enjoy your food, especially the biriyani and the Galauti Kabab.

This was my First visit at Indian Resturant Atmosphere was good...Ambience was also hood.. Come to Food Experiencing... 1- Mutton Kacchi Biriyani Taste was Awsome.. 2- Galauti kebab tried, taste was medium.. 3- Hariyali kebab was Awsome.. 4- Sahi Tukda is Must-try dish and taste was just Mind Blowing. 5- Firni Taste is also awsome.

The starters were decent, I especially liked the Haryali chicken skewers (not in the pictures). The Biryani had too much oil and scent for my liking which made the whole dish feel heavy. They let us celebrate my sister's anniversary. The service was decent but could have been a bit quicker. There was no wait time which was awesome.

I recently visited this restaurant at their Khiderpore branch. It's a three storied restaurant. The ground floor of the restaurant has no air conditioning, whereas 1st and 2nd floor have air conditioning. It's a well decorated restaurant with a great ambiance. Here I ordered 3 course meal. In starter I ordered mutton galawati kebab. I ordered mutton awadhi biryani, mutton biryani, mutton dakbunglow in the main course. And, lastly I ordered shahi tukda and phirni as desserts. I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the taste and the quality of the food. Let's first discuss about the starter. The galawati kebab was melting in the mouth and it was served with complimentary parathas. This combination of parathas and this tender kabab was mind blowing. The awadhi mutton biriyani was really fragrant and flavourful. It was cooked and served in a sealed clay handi. It had four average pieces of mutton and 2 pieces of potatoes. The quantity of the biryani was enough for two people. The side dish that was ordered with the biryani was mutton dakbunglow. I was quite rich in taste. It had 4-5 small pieces of mutton and an egg. The mutton biriyani was good but I found it a bit salty. To conclude I must mention about the dessert items. The phirni was really good. But, the star among the desserts was shahi tukda. It had a smooth texture and was comforting to the soul. Let's rate the dishes. Galawati kabab 4.5/5 Mutton biriyani 3/5 Mutton awadhi biryani 4.25/5 Muton dakbunglow 4.5/5 Phirni 4/5 Shahi tukda 4.75/5

We went 2 have our lunch 2day in khidirpur Indian Restaurant with my family coz I heard that their biriyani & other mughlai dishes r quite popular in kolkata but I'm really disappointed with their quality & quantity of the food served. We've ordered Mutton boti kabab which was tough like stone, u can't chew them properly. We also ordered chicken tandoori, which is not upto the mark according 2 the standard of a fine dining restaurant. The other starter items like fish Tikka kabab was good, but the only dish We've enjoyed a lot was Mutton Galauti Kabab which was awesome in taste. Then come 2 the main course We've ordered Special Mutton Biriyani , the quality & quantity both deteriorated a lot, even taste is nt upto the mark. Previously we had visited their another outlet in Koikhali near Airport , that time We've wonderful experience with the food & enjoyed a lot. I don't suggest 2 visit khidirpur branch of Indian Restaurant coz it's complete wastage of money.

The food was delicious, the ambience was attractive, I ordered chicken reshmi kebab, special chicken Biryani, laccha paratha, chicken, butter masala and firni. I wanted to order dark knight ice cream but it was not available. Though food pricing is quite high, the taste is amazing.

The restaurant is located in two locations, that is Khidderpore and Kaikhali. The Kacchi Biriyani is unique here and amazing, also this gets over really fast! The cheese kabab is amazing as well, the malai kabab is amazing as well. Not to forget the biryani too!
