Kakuna " a culinary bar " - Restaurant in Chandigarh - Chandigarh, India

This is a place with nice ambience, hospitality, and food. The taste of everything that we had was very good. Just that I felt that the portion size was bit less, as compared to the price. Altogether, we had great fun, and loved the food and drinks.

I cannot believe the horrendous experience we had at this so-called "Kakuna (a culinary bar)" We made the mistake of booking a table through the Zomato app, and it was downhill from there. Firstly, they had the audacity to deny us entry initially. After some back and forth, they grudgingly allowed us in, but with a catch - only three seats at the table, and the rest of us had to stand awkwardly beside it. What kind of establishment treats its customers like second-class citizens? To add insult to injury, the billing discrepancy was a nightmare. Zomato clearly stated that billing was until 6 am, but the restaurant staff insisted on wrapping things up by 11 pm. Talk about false advertising! And the cherry on top was their refusal to honor the 6-beers free offer we were entitled to. Instead, they shoved 6 virgin mojitos down our throats without even bothering to check if we wanted them. Who does that? As if the evening couldn't get any worse, the ambiance was utterly appalling. With only 20 people in the cramped space, it felt like a ghost town. The place was tiny, and the overall atmosphere was reminiscent of a dingy basement rather than a reputable eatery. When we finally decided we'd had enough and attempted to leave, they had the nerve to trap us, insisting we pay a staggering 2400 rupees, even though we hadn't ordered a single additional item. They harassed us to pay an extra 1200 including 600 we had already paid through Zomato for the table booking. In summary, this place is a disgrace to the term "a culinary bar" The ambiance is terrible, the service is abysmal, and they seem to have a knack for scamming customers. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this establishment. You'd be better off eating anywhere else, even a roadside vendor would provide a more pleasant experience than this disaster of a place.

Great place, nice ambience and good service. The food menu needs to be updated as it has very limited options. The cocktails and mocktails are surprisingly good!

Been here a lot of times but usually in the evenings. This time visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The ambience was very serene and joyous. The hospitality was great. Cocktails were remarkable. Food is lip-smacking. It is one of the finest lounge-cum-restaurant in the Tricity. There Mimosa was really nice, prepared in fresh orange juice with a slice of mandarin in it. Remedy was another cocktail that was really interesting, it was presented in a very classy glass like an inverted pineapple, that was quite innovative. Another very unique cocktail was Gin in a Bath Tub which was actually served in a small bathtub of glass, was very rare and you seldom experience such kind of presentation. Talking about food, the non-veg platter was scrumptious. I personally liked there chicken popcorns and peri peri fries. Fish and chips were also good, they prepared it with Singhara fish. Sitting arrangement was really great as we went in a group of 13-14 perks so we were very well accommodated. It has some great backdrops for photography as well. Over all a very satisfying experience. Must go if you haven't till date.

Music here is quite good. The vibe of the place is amazing. On menu side they have less options in terms of food. Food is okay. The drinks served here are on expensive side but not upto the mark. Overall, you can visit here atleast once and can have a good time. I suggest to go here late night rather than going early if you want to get the awesome experience of music here.

Love the boho vibe and amazing ambience. The interiors are very classy. The food is delicious and served perfectly. The prices are bit high. They've lots of variety in liquor, cocktails and mock tails. The staff is helpful. The pomegranate sangria a must and British fish and chips the crispiest fish you'll ever had

Really unique ambience. Service and preparation were good but we were the only people there at that time since we went early, the experience could be different if the place were full. The presentation of the drinks was good. Wow factor in the food was not there, it was decent.

One of my fav night club in Chandigarh. Add your name in the guest list for to get the entry and then you are good to go. Music played here is amazing and the ambience is nice. It opens till late and once the time hits 12am that's when the place is full and great music starts. It's a must go place for good music. Drinks are on lil higher side but then it's okay.
