Jaimathi in Blair - Hotel in Port Blair - South Andamans, India

The rooms were average...the positive side is that it is very close to the airport...it takes hardly 5-7 minutes to reach the airport from this hotel . Had there been a balcony, I would have added a star to my review

Great location near Aberdeen Bazar, rooms are comparatively very much reasonable, good, spacious and cleaned but without breakfast. So many restaurants are available nearby only. Excellent for official trip. Room service is little bit slow. Plz take rooms only without food.

A very decent hotel situated in the heart of the city of Port Blair. Non-AC cabs will charge only Rs100 to take you from the airport to Jaimathi Inn. We stayed in the AC family rooms and even though they aren't exactly spacious, they were large enough for 3 people. The TV was a huge 32" LED TV with mostly local channels, and all sports and Hindi channels. Autos, cabs, everything is available right outside the hotel. The only downside is they don't have a restuarant. However, not to worry, just beside Jaimathi, there's hotel Milan which offers good quality food and is quite popular among travellers residing in the area. Overall, 5 star for a very decent experience for the 4 days of stay in Port Blair. If I visit again, I would love to stay here!

We just walked around the market and found this place to stay. The place has good rooms with AC and NON-AC options. The AC ones are more expensive for obvious reasons. We took 3 sharing room and stayed for 3 days. The rooms were great, spacious and clean. However the AC was not working in the first room which was assigned to us, hence the owner immediately shifted us to a different room with working AC. There is no WiFi in the hotel, for that matter you wont get WiFi anywhere in whole Andaman. Even your mobile data never works, so be prepared. The area is a market, so lot of options to eat around. There was only one complaint we had. Once we checked out, 2 girls in our group started receiving whatsapp forwards from the owner of the hotel. This was uncomfortable and disappointing. It was obvious that they took our numbers from the registration form. I request the staff not to do this with any other customers, privacy should be maintained and not intruded. It is inconvenient if someone takes our numbers and contacts us without our consent. We eventually blocked the number and ignored it, but its not appreciated. Only for this I have given 3 rating, other then that we did not have any issues with our stay.

Even though the hotel is centrally located, water availability is a huge issue here. Bathroom was stinking and dirty. Bedsheets were stained and were changed only after repeated requests. Request anyone travelling to Port Blair not to put up in this hotel and spoil your stay in this beautiful place.

This Hotel is situated 5 kms from the Airport and if you book online please make sure you carry a print out with you when you reach there cause here there is no net connectivity even 2G from Airtel or BSNL is not working all over Port Blair, cause they are asking for print outs of the Booking we made and Net Cafe took 1 hour to download this booking voucher and print. Room Cleanliness is ok and there is no lift and you have to walk 2 floors up and it might not suitable for elderly people beside hotel there is a Taxi stand so easy to get access to anywhere in Port Blair

Average place for visiting. Anyone can stay here for 1 hour. it is in andaman . You can take selfie hare. Guest house are available here. You can visit here in evening time because of chilling sun . Popular for national memorial nad Parks. Lighting is Good here in night.

My worst hotel experience ever...I had booked a single AC room for three days(24-26 dec) and I was given a horrible non AC room. When asked, the manager first told me to manage for one night and that he will provide me with an AC room in the morning. When asked the next day, he told me that he can't provide an AC room .... As there is no internet connection in port Blair, I waited till I reached Bangalore .. They further called the manager who doesn't even acknowledge the fact that he has to refund me the money. This hotel tried its best to ruin my trip to the Andamans. Don't go for this hotel!!!! I repeat, don't!!!! You can find better hotels with wifi at better rates in port Blair.
