The place looks great when covered up. When one visits the place on any normal day one would be utterly un impressed. So the look and feel of the place depends on the decorator who is in charge. Finding the place without the help or with the help of Google map is easy. The entrance is on the main road. On weekdays one has to take into consideration the one way traffic. Traffic from Howrah maidan can be taken after 1 pm and from kadamtala side before 1 pm.

Bankim Park. It is associated with famous writer Bankim Chandra Chttopadhyay who , for some time , lived in a building nearer to the park. It is not a park in true scene, rather it can termed as a open air space on Panchanantala Road . The city ( Howrah ) is overcrowded with high risers, old damaged buildings, well maintained roads, lanes leaving no open space for older persons, children to spend some time in the evening or early in the morning. This small space ( Bankim Park) is one of the Launce of the city life, very close to Howrah Maidan , metro - having two damaged sliding concretes for children , an entry gate. Every year the local government observes Bankim Mela ( during the anniversary of birth day of Sri Bankim Chandra ). The local club organises Durga Puja, well decorated and crowd pulling .

Very good place for children who wants to play .....a small ground but very nice for children's...

Just an open ground,no grass, slopes for kids,one club house given on rent for holding occasion.
