While visiting the city palace, I also did a boating experience and the amazing place included in it is Jagmandir Island Palace. Historical and Royal place it is. There are so many amazing spots here and the place is full of serenity.
Wow this place is heaven on the earth!! Situated in middle of the lake. You can go there by taking boat which will cost 600 per person. Boat will take a round of lake and drop you there. You can visit the entire place and then take any boat to come back. View is amazing !!
Wanted to experience dinner in a lake restaurant. Taj Lake Palace only open to residents for security reasons. Jagmandir was an alternate to it. The experience was worth it as one got a lovely view of the lit up City Palace, Lake Palace hotel, and other lit up buildings. Nice place, entrance and boat ride to the place cost 530rs per person. There is not much things to do in there, only expensive restaurant. The place os small and well maintained, pretty gardens and the way there on the boat was around the lake and it was really beautiful, you could see from there the city palace and the taj palace and all the mountains around the city. You should go but not a must in Udaipur
Entry to Jagmandir is via boat ride through City Palace. Cost to enter the City Palace is 30 bucks and the boat ride to Jagmandir costs 500 bucks for to and fro journey. The boat ride costs 800 bucks later in evening after 2-3 PM. The boat leaves every 1 hour from City Palace and while coming back there is a ride every 30 mins. The boat ride is quite beautiful where you witness many scenic views. Jagmandir is situated in the middle of the lake and has a good history. It has multiple courtyards, lawns, a small museum and the restaurant. You can spend time at Jagmandir at your own pace and then come back to City Palace where you can do other activities like the Museum, Crystal Gallery.
One of the most beautiful places I've seen in Udaipur. To reach here, you will have to take a boat that costs you around Rs.500 per person for daytime ride & for evening boat ride Rs.800. You can buy tickets from city palace too. This place also has a cafe with a lake view. Great place for photography.
The ticket price of Jagmandir was 30 Rs but We had to do compulsory boating of 500 rs, to reach there as it was an island You have to take tickets from the counter at the City Palace. You will reach there by boat as the land is connected with water bodies from all the sides and you will come back by the boat too. I recommend you explore the City Palace first. Ticket price is 400 Rsof City Palace and if you are a student (school l+ college) the fair will be 150 Rsper head. I love this place, the winds blows strong, water tide where bluster. Everything was soo perfect.
One of the best museums to visit. Though it is a palace, but it takes more than 2 hrs for complete tour...sunset sight through palace's top floor is amazing. Tip make sure you enter palace after lunch..so you can do boating ,during sunset.
