One of the best museums to visit. Though it is a palace, but it takes more than 2 hrs for complete tour...sunset sight through palace's top floor is amazing.
Tip make sure you enter palace after lunch..so you can do boating ,during sunset.
History surrounds you as you walk along the lake as the castle looms over you. Beautifully maintained as a hundreds of years old Palace can be. I can only imagine being that high up looking from the Palace over the surrounding countryside. I definitely suggest a visit or stay at the hotel located in the Palace. Highly recommended.
Lovely palace. The of Udaipur.
Architecture is outstanding, mind blowing. Just enjoyed every moment as in heaven. Feeling proud to get an opportunity to see city palace. All details of ancient history is described in it.

I Visited 12 Year's Ago With Family

The museum and art gallery is impressive as it's developed and managed by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
Must visit if you're going to Udaipur.
Overall I loved the place..
A must visit place in Udaipur..A guided visit is good as they tell you about the history of the place and there are multilingual guides available. There is exhibition of paintings, clothes , utensils and weapons used by the royals inside
Beautiful palace but crowded during the festive seasons.
The view of the city making it known as the white City is evident from the topmost area of the palace.
The architecture and beauty of the place is really good..we took a golf cart to come up at 50 rupees per person and you can walk down. The ticket entry has concession for senior citizens and students.
Overall I loved the place..
Amazing experience visiting the City Palace. If someone were to ask me just one place to visit in Udaipur, the City Palace would top the list. The palace is majestic, spanning 1.5 km in length and 800 m in width. We reached here early morning at 9 am and got ourselves a guide (highly recommended). One definitely gets to imagine multiple dynasties of Mewar emperors that inhabited the place and how they lived
The city palace was an okay location to visit. It's a bit much to manage as its a lot to see in one day. If you want the exercise then go for it. Entry was 400 per person. Would not recommend taking a guide as it will only bog you down. The boat right post that was decent. The garden on the top floor was really wonderful and breezy beautiful place to stated relax.
The City Palace is a splendid historical landmark located in the heart of the city. It's a testament to the grandeur of the past, showcasing stunning architecture, exquisite art, and captivating history. A must-visit for anyone interested in the rich heritage and culture of the region.
