I frequently stay at this property above Howrah Junction. Everything is worth 4/5 Star. Except one thing which will make you feel upset. Once you Check-In, the Staffs will be kind of like leech requesting for Tip. I'm not denying for Tips, when you haven't even entered your room they start following you for Tips. I personally have brought in, this concern to the Frontdesk. One will surely tip while Check-Out and it depends on oneself whether to give or not. When you haven't received the service it feels uncomfortable for the Travellers especially when you haven't even entered your room, demand of Tip. I'm not blaming those Staffs as how much they earning, as these Tips will be a added saving for their family. It's the management who needs to teach them some moral lessons and etiquette. Else everything is fine.

The staffs are most unprofessional and not coperable at all, they make there own rules on top of the existing rules just to deny the service available. They need to be trained to how to behave with customers. The staff present in the reception have the feeling towards customer that they are doing charity towards them. I went there around 4pm asked for double vaccancy room they denied me and asked me to come after an hour without providing proper reason. The dormitory is full of mosquito, blood stains on wall and dirty washroom. Avoid visiting this hell. If possible record there behaviour and the room condition and pass it to higher authority, so that these culprits be taught a lesson.

Prime location, Good Housekeeping, Cleaned rooms, Food Restaurants and Pizza Hut available, Nearby Ferry ghat,Bus Stand, Railway station and Taxi Stand. Check in time is 9 am, Online very difficult to book. When reach there before time to book any room, staff insist to book room for two days i.e. Previous and present days. Waste to argue with them, better to pay and enjoy good time there.

Very nice hotel,book in advance,casue they are always fully packed.affordable price.

Prime location is the highlight of this property. You get a NON AC DORMITORY for 250 odd rupees. The night staff - Receptionist is a Humble but cunning Guy. I wanted a AC room to which he denied as not available but he didn't offered me a Non AC private room. He readily filled the form for dormitory and asked for payment. I paid in cash and went to sleep. Next day, as it was Humid, I asked for a non AC room To which he said - AC ROOM CHAHIYE TO SUBHA AANA HOGA. I mean, agar ye batana tha to dormitory book karte time batata.. I would have paid for 1 night and next morning would have shifted to AC. Then I checked and I asked about NON AC private room to which he smiled and said AVAILABLE. I asked how much? He said 920 and check out at 9AM. It was 11:30 PM that Time, why will one pay another 920 for 9 hours? He is very cunning and mischievous. The staff is good but everytime you ask them some work, they will do it and then ask for TIP which seems very unprofessional. My suggestion is visit this place in morning if u want a comfortable AC or NON AC room or else you'll be forced to stay in a NON AC dormitory. The worst thing about dormitory is the Toilet which was not cleaned in my 2 days stay.

Pathetic EXPERIENCE: STAFF INTENTIONALLY DOES NOT GIVE ROOMS : AND CHARGES 400-500 RUPEES EXTRA : THIS IS THE CASE ON THIS SUNDAY EVENING 15TH OCTOBER 2023 : POST 11 - 11:30 PM : WE WERE TRAVELLING IN PUNE HOWRAH DURONTO : TRAIN WAS ALREADY TOO LATE AND WE HAD NO WAY TO TRAVELL FURTHER TO DUE TO SECURITY ISSUES ; WHEN I REQUESTED FOR A ROOM AND MY 5 YEARS SON AND MY WIFE WERE WITH ME AND I WAS DENIED : WHEREAS PEOPLE AFTER ME WERE ALLOTTED ROOM : CLASSIC EXAMPLE OF PURE Corruption AND SATISFYING PERSONAL EGO OF THE STAFF SITTING AT RECEPTION: staff behaviour is like as IF THEY ARE DOING FAVOUR TO US ..rehna hai raho nhi toh jaa : THERE Should BE ESCALATION MATRIX AND TRANSPARENCY IN THE SYSTEM ; HELPERS ALSO ASK FOR MONEY FOR JUST HANDLING OVER THE KEYS FOR GIVEN WATER TOwel and soap : IF I HAVE TO EXPLAIN IT IN ONE WORD : "CURSE".

It is really totally worth it to stay there..i will always recommend this dormitory for a single person..

Standing here since 40 minutes now, no staff / receptionist around. No contact numbers available. What do these people expect passengers to do? Wait till the lobby till their train arrives?? Very bad experience.
